I have been looking for it for a very long time. It’s very difficult though, as well as unforgiving. But, try it! It’s a great hidden gem on the NES and is very reasonably priced. SMB2 is a sprite hack of a Japanese game called Doki Doki Panic. Nintendo did this because they though that the Japanese SMB2, which plays a lot like SMB1 but harder, would be too difficult for American audiences. I say the US got the better SMB2. Japanese SMB2 came later to the US with Super Mario All Stars as SMB: The Lost Levels. I will say that there are some differences given that our version, SMB2, was on the NES rather than the Famicom’s Disk System add-on, so they have some different sounds and whatnot overseas.
