Does Anyone use these Paddle controllers?

Well, first off, welcome to Atari.io. Second, I have those controllers. I have played Breakout, Super Breakout, Night Driver, and I think Demons to Diamonds. I also love playing Kaboom with them. They're actually pretty good controllers. They also have decent response time with paddle games. Kaboom is one of my favorite paddle games.

You’re going to want to clean those if you haven’t used them yet! Not a hard process, and it’s worth it. Paddles are the number one reason to own a real 2600.

I personally recommend Kaboom!, Night Driver, Circus Atari, both Breakouts, and all the rest. Street Racer is surprisingly fun with friends. Canyon Bomber is one of my personal favorites, too!

I am planning on doing a Paddle Games edition of Atari Night soon. You’re welcome to use footage from that in a video if you wish, since I know you don’t have a capture device quite yet (whenever it comes out of course. I’m thinking sometime next week. Episode 2 will be 7800 games most likely).

Again, good luck on your Atari journey!

Yeah paddle games are some of my favorites , a 2'nd set and you can play 4 player Warlords (some reason my nephews like it better than Midevil Mayhem)

For cleaning the paddles I usually reference "Slowcoders guide" on Atari age https://atariage.com/forums/topic/184296-slowcoders-guide-to-cleaning-up-your-2600/?do=findComment&comment=2316794

Specifically what console are you playing on ? original hardware or a flashback unit ?

I suggest that you start out by playing Star Wars Jedi Arena first. It's pretty bad as far as paddle games go so it will help you enjoy the other titles LOL. Then I would play some of the better paddle games like Super Breakout, Circus Atari and Kaboom!😁

Hey @SecondChance Retro, if you plug those paddles in and your on-screen avatar is "jittery" (it doesn't move smoothly side to side, seems kind of jumpy), then you need to clean them up internally.  If that ends up being the case, and you need help, please hit us up here.  It is not hard as long as you are comfortable taking stuff apart.

@RickR Ill test them out when I get home from work. Im pretty comfortable taking things apart. So ill check it out. I wish i had started my Youtube sooner because, ive taken and rebuilt all sorts of consoles and retro items. I recently Modded a Jvc boom box  from 83’ to play blue tooth music from my phone and added a rechargeable internal battery.   Im planning on making an episode over it soon.

Heh, I didn't know Astroblast could be played with paddles as well. it's a LOT better that way !!!! I always tried with a joystick .... needless to say much less "joy"
