ONE WARNING, or word of advice to all Newbies (concerning Ebay)

If you are just now getting into the TI-99/4A, I recommend that you do NOT buy the device called a FlashROM by any of the sellers online.  Besides the prices from many of those sellers being totally out of line, the FlashROM has been superseded/replaced by the cartridge called the FinalGROM.   The FinalGROM has a larger menu system that can handle subdirectories, the FinalGROM can hold and run larger programs and can even run GROM based programs the FlashROM cannot.

Don't waste your money on something you'll regret, there are other more affordable sources for the newer FinalGROM cartridge.

I've had the FlashROM for a long time, and it works ok for me.  At this point, I'm not sure if I need to upgrade to the FinalGROM or not.

But I agree that if you're starting out now, go with the FinalGROM.
