The effort you put into these episodes is amazing. Awesome guests, insightful commentary, you dress the part and create the vibe. I feel like I'm watching Top Gear for gaming. It doesn't get better than this.  :martini:  :100:

Thoughts: Had Atari been serious about relaunching the Jaguar or the Jag Duo in the mid-'90s they should have considered Super Burnout as a pack-in title. A well-done game with mass appeal.

No doubt, this game is super slick.  I was amazed at how good it plays today, perfect controls and super fast.

This was a good review. I like Pinball a lot and I really wanted to like Pinball Fantasies more than I did. It had some cool levels. The gameshow one and the car one. It's a cool game, but it's not a great game. Young Mr. Mason hit the nail on the head: "I think it's not enough."

Right before the launch of the Jaguar, two employees (one was an Atari employee, and one was one of the Tramiel brothers) told me personally that they thought the Jaguar was going to be another 2600.

My reply to them was "We will see. It's all about GAMES."

And I got dead silence on the other end of the phone from them.

He said "What do you mean....?" and I said "You've got to have GAMES. You can brag all you want about it's abilities but in the end it's got to have games."

They would never tell me the actual numbers on any of the games that were sold. I never found that out until Fight For Life. When Fight For Life came out, one of the employees at Atari had called me and told me this was pretty much it and they were going to be done with the Jaguar. Nationwide they only sold 900 Fight For Life carts on it's initial release. My company Video 61 had purchased over 10% of the stock for Fight For Life. I could not believe it!

Wow! That is some crazy FFL numbers! I recall seeing one copy in an EB Games. Only time I saw one, but at that time, Jag stuff was hard to find in stores in general.

Do you got any 7800 stories ;)

The moment you've all been waiting for...

Great episode, BTB! At my last "Dads' Day of Atari" we basically had this exact experience with WMCJ. Then we played NBA Jam TE.

The punching is definitely the most fun element of WMCJ. Your friends were spot on in their assessment of the akward camera impacting actual play. I also get the same reaction with the controller. No one who has actually held one will agree that the Jag pad is among the worst controllers ever. Its damn comfortable and plays well - especially the pro-controller.

Well I feel like I need to do another NBA Jam TE episode because I totally forgot that was also a 4 player game.  I just need to track down two controllers - for a good price, and do another episode.  I think the same guys should come back and have a rematch.

Maybe make a "Wanted" post in the Marketplace, it's likely somebody here has Jaguar controllers. You could probably get them at a fair price or make a trade!

Wow, great channel! Love to see these dedicated console channels. Plus, your production value is really high, and you create a nice, easy-going tone for these videos. Quality stuff all-around. Subbed. Looking forward to more. :)

Thanks so much!  Trying to find my voice in a sea of rant channels... I thin owe do a pretty good job of having a good time with out all the yelling LOL.  Thanks for subscribing, that means a lot.
