nosweargamer
What's you favorite Atari 2600 in game music? I'll share two of mine here. First, I really enjoy the Louie Louie rendition from California Games I also think the music in BMX Air Master is a hidden gem of sorts. You're turn! socrates63, RickR and DegasElite 3 Quote The No Swear Gamer on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChtJuo040EOCTVziObIgVcg Host of The Atari 7800 Game by Game Podcast on iTunes, Stitcher and YouTube
RickR
Great topic. I know it's short, but I really love the little "Twilight Zone" diddy when you win at Haunted House. nosweargamer and socrates63
RickR
Also, the excellent Star Wars theme when you become invincible in "The Empire Strikes Back". It really does make you feel invincible. nosweargamer
HDN
Double dunk! Of course. And Tunnel Runner. But the game with the best music? Pac-Man! nosweargamer and RickR
HDN
Oh, I should mention this. I recently realized that the Tunnel Runner theme is the bass line for Riders on the Storm by the Doors. nosweargamer, Mr SQL, RickR and 1 other
DegasElite
The best music I have heard on the A2600, in my own personal opinion, is from Pitfall II: Lost Caverns. It actually has a drum beat. I once thought that drum beat synth was impossible on the A2600, but David Crane proved me wrong. Thanks for letting me share. :O) socrates63, nosweargamer and RickR

Search for "DPC" here: http://www.ataricompendium.com/archives/articles/longevity/longevity.html The DPC chip (co-designed by David Crane) produces the better sounds and also has a random number generator. nosweargamer

Sabertooth
I have soft spot for the music in Moon Patrol. This is provided that the difficulty switch is in the correct position, of course! 😅 RickR, socrates63 and nosweargamer
socrates63
I'm a big fan of the 2600 homebrew Juno First, and it has a killer rockin' catchy title screen music--the best 2600 music that I've heard. Give it a listen. HDN, nosweargamer, RickR and 1 other
HDN
Despite being only a single channel, the Moon Patrol song is such an unkillable ear worm that it has to make the list. nosweargamer and socrates63
CrossBow
Although it was designed as a 7800 game, T:me Salvo's title screen music is available as a separate download to be played on the 2600 through a Harmony cart and that is pretty impressive as well! There are quite a few other examples available in the demo scene that have made stuff for the 2600 over the past few years as well. socrates63, HDN, Justin and 1 other 4 Quote See what I'm up to over at the Ivory Tower Collections: http://www.youtube.com/ivorytowercollections

slobu
Winter Games title screen. Remember sitting at the intro just for that.
