Popular Post Atari 5200 Guy Posted October 18, 2021 Popular Post Report Posted October 18, 2021 Have a 5200 game with no manual? Fear not! I have located a large collection of these manuals in PDF format from the Internet Archives, free. So if you are in need of a manual, click on the link. On the right, under DOWNLOAD OPTIONS, you will see a list of file types. Click on the PDF link and it will expand to show all the game manuals up for grabs on a per-game basis. To download the manuals simply click on the game title. https://archive.org/details/Atari5200Manuals_201812 DegasElite, TrekMD, RickR and 6 others 5 4 Quote
MaximumRD Posted October 18, 2021 Report Posted October 18, 2021 This is great, even if I do not have original cart, even playing roms or using my atarimax multicart it may come in handy having the manual for some games. Also I might be odd in this but sometimes I just like flipping through old game manuals from back in the day. DegasElite Posted October 18, 2021 Report Posted October 18, 2021 Not only is it nice, you can preserve your manuals by downloading the PDF versions. There is also the Video Game Scanning Collective on the Archive. They have box and manual scans for certain games. It's not complete, but it is thorough with the scans. However, be prepared. Some scans are at 1,200 DPI, and some downloads are over 1 GB in size for just one game. I have a reasonably high-speed connection, so I can do it. A lot of people do, it seems. Also, a lot of the scans are Atari 2600 and 5200 games. So, it could be good for restoration and preservation references, if that can be done. Thanks for letting me share. :O) MaximumRD and socrates63 2 Quote

- Ω - Posted October 18, 2021 Report Posted October 18, 2021 Back when I had more time, I used to make game manuals for new TI-99/4A games and ports. Sadly, I don't have much free time anymore, but it would be nice if someone would step up and cobble together a few PDF manuals of some of these newer games and ports. RickR Posted October 18, 2021 Report Posted October 18, 2021 Thanks! I downloaded them all in one zip file. Atari 5200 Guy 1 Quote
TrekMD Posted October 18, 2021 Report Posted October 18, 2021 How did you do that? I don't see an option to download all in one zip file. Atari 5200 Guy 1 Quote 🖖 Going to the final frontier, gaming...

DegasElite Posted October 18, 2021 Report Posted October 18, 2021 You can also click on the black text next to any link to download. It will download as a ZIP file everything on that link. It works the same way as the circled black-text link on the picture posted by RickR, only it's more specific to the individual links. Thanks. :O) Atari 5200 Guy, TrekMD and RickR 1 2 Quote

But when you own a game, can't figure it out, and need a manual to help you out, this is the next best thing. DegasElite and MaximumRD 2 Quote
