After release, developer and creator Jani Penttinen made so many refinements to the game he emerged with Guntech 2.0 and offered it as a free upgrade to original purchasers of the game. Obviously, the theme is inspired by our current global pandemic. However, art-imitating-life turned to life-imitating-art when Guntech developer and creator Jani Penttinen was hospitalized due to COVID. Read the story at WIRED.
