@TrekMD Nice work! I just wanted the 4k directors cut of the Motion Picture...but naturally it is sold out everywhere and being scalped on the bay and amazon already. So... I've had to settle for the standard blu-ray release of the directors cut.

I was able to get Wrath of Kahn in 4k though and that is my favorite one of the original movies anyway.

I preordered that TMP 4K LE the second I learned it was available.  It sold out that same day!

Yeah but I figured the standard 4k release would be around a bit longer. I was wrong... very very wrong. Same thing happened with the Dune Steelbook version. I always get steelbooks whenever possible and didn't think to pre-order it because I didn't think it would be in such demand. Yeah... that didn't work out either LOL!

Two free items that I'm very happy to have.

  • A 23" TV, which is an upgrade for the smaller 19" you can kind of see behind it.  Quite a bit bigger!  I will use this one every day while exercising.  It has a Chromecast attached for watching YouTube from my phone.  I still need to remove the old one from the wall mount and add the new one.
  • A decent Yamaha keyboard.  This will allow me to get back into fiddling around playing music.

I finally picked up the AD&D Deities & Demigods rule book, the one that has sections on Cthulu and Melnibonean mythos. I had been looking online for a couple of years. It’s in very nice physical condition.

This completes the AD&D rules set that I owned as a kid back in the early 80s. I might still pick up a better condition copy of the Players Handbook if I come across one, but for now, I’m happy 🙂  I'm still on the lookout for the B1 and B2 modules and the D&D set in the blue box with a dragon on it.

OLD-SCHOOL ALERT!

I updated my MP3 player.  The old one (on the bottom) finally wore out after 20 years of almost daily usage.  I tried a cheap knockoff first, but hated it so much I returned it (the user interface was terrible).  I ended up buying essentially the same unit as before, including my favorite red color.  The new one works and sounds exactly the same.  Same great UI too.  BUT it has bluetooth and a much larger memory (32GB vs 4GB).  I didn't take a picture, but I also bought a nice set of wireless (around the neck) Sony earbuds.

I wanted the more traditional looking version of this, but at the time I ordered this one, they didn't have the original grey and chrome original looking ones available, and I had NO idea that they would even re-release the original looking version as they did for their Black Friday sale...sigh.

But, that said, the color scheme might grow on me and it really does sound amazing! It is replacing the Bose Sondlink Mini II that I'd been using for the past few years on my desk at work.
