RickR Posted July 22, 2015 Report Posted July 22, 2015 As many of you know (because I can't stop blah-blah-blah'ing about it), I've been selling off old magazines lately. Well, I'm now in my Mad and Cracked magazine stashes, and LOOK at what I found. I think these two perfectly reminded me of retro gaming fun! Well, the stack of Cracked will be for sale first, and very soon.
Justin Posted July 22, 2015 Report Posted July 22, 2015 How awesome to see retro Cracked and Mad Magazines! I used to love these! It's awesome to see some from the early 1980s with video game themes on the cover. Thanks for sharing this Rick
RickR Posted July 22, 2015 Author Report Posted July 22, 2015 I didn't even look inside, but there are so many cool covers. Star Wars, Saturday Night Fever, Mork and Mindy, Diff'rent Strokes, Close Encounters, Star Blech, etc. etc. This stuff is gold. Do I really want to sell these?
Dan Iacovelli Posted July 22, 2015 Report Posted July 22, 2015 any crazy magazines? AVC Online:atari-video.club VGS website: http://videogamesummit.net

The Professor Posted July 22, 2015 Report Posted July 22, 2015 I love this stuff! We should buy a collection, get them scanned and put them online.
leolinden Posted July 23, 2015 Report Posted July 23, 2015 I love MAD magazine. I have the Weird Al issue that came out recently. Retro obsessed dude
Atari Adventure Square Posted July 23, 2015 Report Posted July 23, 2015 Those VG special mags were confirmation that the passion for arcade life was seeping into pop culture and was here to stay. While clearing out the family house, I found my old "I'm a Vidiot" kid-sized t-shirt, made from that Cracked iron-on. I still am.
RickR Posted July 23, 2015 Author Report Posted July 23, 2015 The vidiot iron on is still in that magazine.
AtariBrian Posted July 25, 2015 Report Posted July 25, 2015 I have the Mad invaders issue and eventually it will be framed. RickR why are you selling them?
RickR Posted July 25, 2015 Author Report Posted July 25, 2015 Downsizing. I've been selling off all my old magazines. I'm most likely going to keep the MAD magazines, but Cracked will all be for sale. My 5200 collection is now gone. Are you looking to buy anything?
greenween Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 I have 2 boxes of Mad and Cracked! Still subscribe to Mad! LOL Never read Crazy, always heard about it though. "Better to be king for a night than schmuck for a lifetime."
