Yo-Yo Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 I'm watching Clash of the Titans on BBC with Harry Hamlin. It's hard for me to watch this movie and not think about SwordQuest. Especially the comic books that came with the game. Clash of the Titans came out in 1981, I wonder if it had any influence on the guys who were making SwordQuest.
RickR Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 That movie is a lot of fun to watch. Stop motion animation is cool.
RickR Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 There's more than a slight resemblance...you're right!
Rowsdower70 Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 The new one is garbage. THIS....Harryhausen is the one. "For you - Rowsdower from the 70 - have been appointed Omnivisioner of the Game Grid." ~ Atari Adventure Square
Yo-Yo Posted August 2, 2015 Author Report Posted August 2, 2015 I think you stumbled on something with that artwork @RickR. The more I look at it and the more I watch the movie the more I see SwordQuest. Especially this white Pegasus.
Rowsdower70 Posted August 2, 2015 Report Posted August 2, 2015 Fascinating! I wonder if Air Word would have been a better game than the first 2. I never even played Waterworld. I may have to fire up Stella. EDIT: Well that was a terrible idea. "For you - Rowsdower from the 70 - have been appointed Omnivisioner of the Game Grid." ~ Atari Adventure Square
RickR Posted August 2, 2015 Report Posted August 2, 2015 I tried those games once and was completely appalled. Maybe I should give them another chance. This time read the manual carefully.
Rowsdower70 Posted August 2, 2015 Report Posted August 2, 2015 Yeah, I couldn't get into it. More or less the same as the other 2 with swimmy stuff instead of fire stuff. "For you - Rowsdower from the 70 - have been appointed Omnivisioner of the Game Grid." ~ Atari Adventure Square
Arenafoot Posted August 4, 2015 Report Posted August 4, 2015 Fascinating! I wonder if Air Word would have been a better game than the first 2. I never even played Waterworld. I may have to fire up Stella. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Don't do it! Don't go into the light! Come back row!
