RickR
Mini-vacation to Tacoma, Washington! We had the opportunity to get in a weekend trip between treatments. The initial idea was the beach, but hotels were very full and we absolutely cannot risk COVID at this time. So we decided to "go where no one else is going". Tacoma. It turns out to be a really great place to visit. Many museums and a lot of hiking by the beautiful Puget Sound. We did the glass museum and LeMay car museum, and walking at University Place and Chambers Bay. I think there are so many great places to visist even here across Canada that do not get the hype or attention of all the default Tourist destinations. socrates63, RickR, sramirez2008 and 1 other 4 Quote I am Rob aka MaximumRD aka OldSchoolRetroGamer and THIS is my world http://about.me/maximumrd "For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. RickR
My wife, son, and I went to a new Mexican place today. It was very nice, and we got to sit outside on this beautiful sunny day. I always get something with Mole sauce if they have it, and this place didn't disappoint. Delicious. Sadly, I didn't get any pictures there because I forgot. BUT after dinner, we took a walk around our neighborhood to see the local house that transforms into a pirate ship every year. It is spectacular! Some pics of that. socrates63
The past couple of Saturday mornings, my wife and I drove to Seattle (I live in a suburb north of Seattle) to hit up breakfast spots. They both have been very good. The first place, Geraldine's Counter, is known for their French toast, so we definitely had to try it. It's fried bread, so it tasted great, but don't tell my cardiologist. The cornbread pancake with strawberry butter was also good. Morsel is the second place which we visited this past Saturday. Their speciality is biscuits. I wasn't convinced simply looking at the photos, but I was not disappointed. The biscuit and gravy and the breakfast sandwich were all very tasty. The soup of the day (tomato, chipotle, and cheddar) was also very good. And the coffee -- I never had a more flavorful decaf Americano. It was amazing.
