Justin Posted August 16, 2022 Author Report Posted August 16, 2022 @nosweargamer has a quick and simple overview of Activision's Keystone Kapers for the Atari 2600. It's a great place to start if you're new to the game! greenween 1
Justin Posted August 16, 2022 Author Report Posted August 16, 2022 Please remember to TYPE OUT YOUR HIGH SCORE when posting to High Score Squad! We want to get your score right, and prevent mistakes. Scores can be blurry in photos, tricky on the eyes, or hidden deep within play-through videos. Claiming your score 100% prevents confusion. RickR 1
Atari 5200 Guy Posted August 16, 2022 Report Posted August 16, 2022 I don't own this one oddly enough. I'll see if I can snag up a copy otherwise I will emulate it somehow when I get home. I'd use my cellphone but I don't particularly care for the touchscreen controls. Justin and RickR 2
Marco1019 Posted August 16, 2022 Report Posted August 16, 2022 This game is a fun one. I will probably give it a go but I won't expect to score much. It's about recalling what appears on each floor every screen; you can max out the game once you figure that out. greenween and Justin 2

TrekMD Posted August 17, 2022 Report Posted August 17, 2022 I'll definitely join on this one. By the way, have you guys seen the 7800 version of this game? It is fantastic. Hell, it is the best looking version of this game... greenween 1 🖖 Going to the final frontier, gaming...
greenween Posted August 17, 2022 Report Posted August 17, 2022 I've owned this game for years but I've never played it. I'll be joining in later today. 🙂 "Better to be king for a night than schmuck for a lifetime."
greenween Posted August 19, 2022 Report Posted August 19, 2022 First attempt. 10,200. Playing on a 4 switch woody with an A/V mod. NSG's review got me off to a decent start. Fun game, I do have trouble with the escalators though. RickR and Marco1019 2 "Better to be king for a night than schmuck for a lifetime."
greenween Posted August 19, 2022 Report Posted August 19, 2022 I meant to say the elevator gives me trouble. "Better to be king for a night than schmuck for a lifetime."
TrekMD Posted August 19, 2022 Report Posted August 19, 2022 OK, here is my first score: 13,000 Marco1019, greenween and RickR 3 🖖 Going to the final frontier, gaming...
RickR Posted August 19, 2022 Report Posted August 19, 2022 The patch score for this game is 35,000. Let's go for it! (I know, it sounds impossible at the moment) socrates63 and greenween 2
Atari 5200 Guy Posted August 19, 2022 Report Posted August 19, 2022 Default settings. 35,000 points? I got this...hold my soda! RickR and greenween 1 2
RickR Posted August 19, 2022 Report Posted August 19, 2022 17600 Marco1019, greenween, TrekMD and 1 other 4
Atari 5200 Guy Posted August 19, 2022 Report Posted August 19, 2022 I'm at least on the board. I don't care for the touchscreen controls. I could not get my character to go right most of the time. 6,200. Marco1019, socrates63, greenween and 1 other 4
RickR Posted August 19, 2022 Report Posted August 19, 2022 It's tough game for me because of the focus needed. Once you get to the higher levels, the objects really fly across the screen. You have a split second to figure out what the obstacle is and then react. I haven't figured out the secret to the dual bouncing balls yet. greenween and socrates63 2
Atari 5200 Guy Posted August 19, 2022 Report Posted August 19, 2022 Ha!!! Thank you Bluetooth and XBOX. 12,150 socrates63, greenween, Marco1019 and 1 other 4
Atari 5200 Guy Posted August 19, 2022 Report Posted August 19, 2022 I figured out how to pair my XBOX controller to my tablet. Not bad. Sounds are behind slightly but not bad. RickR 1
TrekMD Posted August 20, 2022 Report Posted August 20, 2022 I will trying... 😉 RickR 1 🖖 Going to the final frontier, gaming...
greenween Posted August 20, 2022 Report Posted August 20, 2022 (edited) Slightly better. 13,000. Edited August 20, 2022 by greenween Marco1019, RickR and Atari 5200 Guy 3 "Better to be king for a night than schmuck for a lifetime."
Atari 5200 Guy Posted August 20, 2022 Report Posted August 20, 2022 Improved my score 😊 16,700 TrekMD, greenween, Marco1019 and 1 other 4

I played on Stella 6.7 for Mac OS. I did record this run but I need to shrink the file size before uploading to YouTube. TrekMD, RickR, greenween and 1 other 4
Marco1019 Posted August 21, 2022 Report Posted August 21, 2022 One MAJOR tip that I learned from a TG post involves the elevator pattern which is tied to when you capture the crook. The best time to capture Harry Hooligan is when the elevator is on the 2nd floor or when it's ascending to the 3rd floor.
