- Ω -
For those of you with ROKU's, you obviously know it outputs in HDMI. I'm wondering, if any of you have a gadget installed between your Roku and your TV that records like an DVR to an SD card. I'm thinking it would be rather cool to record anything I'm watching, for later editing (commercial removal) and then archiving. If you have such a device, which one do your use? RickR
I have not tried this. Good luck. I have a device that converts HDMI to composite (so I can play those plug and play consoles on a CRT tv). That could be used to output ROKU or any HDMI device to a VCR. Which would be quite a trip to record onto :)
- Ω -
@RickR I've found a possible contender << HERE >>! What do you think? It say's, "This portable 2-In-1 HD video recorder player allows users to record HD videos from game console, HD camera, TV box, computer, etc. into MPEG4 files at 1080p 60FPS maximum." RickR
I'm probably not the right person to ask as I've never done that before. It does seem like a good choice with the right specs though. I guess I'd try it but only buy it from a vendor with a good return policy. One idea that may be worth exploring...whatever is available on ROKU is also available by PC (using a browser). I wonder if there is capture software that can grab video off the browser? - Ω -

Yes, I've been using a FANTASTIC (and affordable) program for YEARS. << CLICK HERE >> It's bloody awesome, I've used it to capture lots of stuff, but for some strange reason it has an issue with YouTube and the audio is not always in sync with the video, but for every other place I've used it it's perfect.
