StormSurge Posted July 27, 2015 Report Posted July 27, 2015 I just learned about this a couple of weeks ago and I've been practically listening non-stop ever since.iHeart Radio has a dedicated channel that only plays classic Casey Kasem Top 40 countdowns from the 70s & 80s. It's a crazy time machine. I listen to lots of 80s stations (SiriusXM, Slacker, etc.) & I've heard songs on this that I haven't heard since they were originally released. I can't recommend it enough. http://www.iheart.com/live/classic-american-top-40-6545/
Arenafoot Posted July 28, 2015 Report Posted July 28, 2015 Cool! I knew Sirius/XM radio ran these on sunday mornings but didn't know they were on iHeart!! Thanks! StormSurge Posted July 28, 2015 Author Report Posted July 28, 2015 You're welcome! The Sirius/XM ones are just the MTV VJs doing a countdown. Still cool but not as cool as hearing the original Casey Kasem ones (which Sirius used to play). However, I've noticed a couple of repeats. You would think they have enough material to not have to repay the same weeks so frequently.
Arenafoot Posted July 28, 2015 Report Posted July 28, 2015 However, I've noticed a couple of repeats. You would think they have enough material to not have to repay the same weeks so frequently. This was the same with Sirius/XM back when they aired them............. Arenafoot Posted August 4, 2015 Report Posted August 4, 2015 However, I've noticed a couple of repeats. You would think they have enough material to not have to repay the same weeks so frequently. I found out that these are "remastered" from the originals, so they might not have all of them done. Thats why they repeat some of them. But at least they run a 70's one then 80's and then back to 70's........
