Sabertooth
Newsflash: Michael Arzt, COO of Atari VCS and Connected Devices is no longer with the company. See his heartfelt statement via LinkedIn. Arzt is clearly proud of the VCS and the work he did for Atari. The big question: What does this mean for Atari's nascent PC/Console Hybrid? From his post: "I happily leave the Atari VCS in a good place and ready for what’s next." Time will tell. Hat tip to VCS Connect via Twitter for sharing the news! Sabertooth
Even if Arzt wasn't the best brand ambassador, he was an ardent defender of the VCS. I hope that the next leader is more software focused and has clearer messaging about the platform. Also, Atari needs a press release immediately to get ahead of speculation. Minimally we should see something to assure VCS owners of Atari's commitment to the platform and introducing either transitional or permanent leadership. My org recently went through a leadership change. There was a ton of coordination on messaging to assure stakeholders of stability, an announcement of interim leadership, and a statement on recruitment strategies.
