  1. my response to Coleco: 1.) Where's the molds from the original run in 1982? It would keep costs down (just like the Retro VGS/Chameleon) to repurchase/aquire the original plastic shell molds (like they did buying the Atari Jaguar molds). 2.) I'm guessing the VFD displays are not do-able today, so LED screens would have to be used. 3.) Keep it under $100 each. If at all possible under $50 (but they were $59.99 in 1982 when the originals came out) 4.) Titles: would like to see the original Coleco "in development" titles finally released: Berzerk, DK Jr., & Omega Race, and possibly a mini MAME/multicade type of unit. Others would be Joust, Dig Dug, Burgertime, Rally-X 5.) Most important! A "working" model - don't copy the Chameleon. 6.) Would they run on 4 "C" batteries and/or the original Coleco Perma-Power adapter? Updated with a rechargeable battery built-in, maybe.

"It has come to our attention that the community has certain concerns over the prototypes involving the Retro VGS model. The team at Retro remains confident that their product is developed to the extent as describe; HOWEVER, in order to confirm or debase these concerns, Coleco has demanded to inspect the prototype units within a seven day time frame. At which time, independent engineers will review their findings and determine if those units are up to our standards. We will report some or all of those findings to the community so as long as they do not interfere with proprietary information. We remain hopeful that the community's concerns are merely speculations, but if there is merit to the concerns, then we have no choice but to abandon the project rather than release a sub-par product.   15. wow Willie! Can't get the bomb planted in the center on Cosmic Chasm???? Here's a trick to try- when you make it to the center and eliminate all of the diamonds, hold the shield and go as close to the center as possible, do a 180 turn-around and face the exit door you are going to go thru after the bomb is planted. Pull the joystick down, the clock will start and then hit the thrust and leave as soon as the clock starts - this helps save precious seconds to exit out before it goes off.
