Atari dabbled in so many forms of tech, much of it never to reach the market or industry they were slated for.

Case in point THE ATARI VIDCOM:

There was an Atari Vidcom II also, I think it came as part of a larger boxy case and had more than one unit in it. I want to say it was intended for ambulances or something.

Whaaa?

Okay, side project - an alternate universe portal to where Atari became the magnate it was destined to be and the Vidcom and Adventure rooms all exist and we walk around with a 2600 controller model hat which features Gaming, radio, tv and web capabilities (in that order).
