TGIF.  A super tough week at work here.  I hope to get some serious relaxing done this weekend. 
 

Wife and I been watching these, they are great! Really brings back some faith in humanity. 

And another thought on this topic.  Atari never followed up properly on the great games they did create.  For example, Adventure is one of my all-time favorite games.  Most gamers of my vintage also love the game.  Yet Atari never followed up on it.  It wasn't until Nintendo "Legend of Zelda" for NES that we saw a real continuation on the theme.  What a waste. 

It's not even about "capitalizing on existing ip" with games based on Warner franchises, it's simply how they missed the potential of 8-bit gaming as a platform for characters and storytelling that we saw explode with Super Mario Bros, Zelda, Metroid, etc. Atari had all of the components and nobody put the pieces together.

MAD magazine was also under the WB umbrella.  Another wasted opportunity.

We did have one excellent Superman game for 2600, and then.....nothing. 
 

Can computers get the COVID-19 virus???  LOL  Wait...COVID...CO-VID...COmputer VIDeo card virus.  Now it ALL makes sense!!  Every 19th video card I seen for cheap at AliExpress must have been infected.

You know it's funny, people who know me wouldnt really think of me as a "Country Fan" and I guess I didn't really think of Kenny Rogers as a "Country Star" although I guess you could say he was. Maybe he was one of the first "crossovers"? I'll miss him, I'm sad he's gone.

I'm sorry, man.  My wife and I had similar plans.  A summer trip to NYC or Florida, and then a fall cruise Vancouver BC to Los Angeles (visiting grandma, and both sons).  It totally sucks.  But we will try to make the best of a bad situation.  Trying to stay home as much as possible.  Hoping we don't get laid off (and lose our health insurance during a pandemic).  Editorial:  Canada, many of us Americans envy your health care system. 

Here's to hoping for a brisk end to this madness, and maybe the world will make some changes for the better once it's done.  That we should all work together no matter where a dangerous virus begins.  That we can keep the environment clean.  That we can all understand health care should be a given for all and not just those with jobs that happen to offer it. 
 

We have two confirmed cases here in Missouri...one in St Louis and the other in Springfield.  Neither life threatening at the moment.  Our area?  Nothing but there is not a single store here that has toilet paper, paper towels, or tissues.  No diaper wipes either.  It would make more sense to me if stores ran out of food...not paper products. 

May he rest in peace.  But let me be honest...Patrick Stewart, Gavin McLoud, and Michael Jordan taught us to embrace the bald.  Be yourself and be beautiful.

I've been getting news on the Atari Hotels for a couple of days now.  It even made ABC news all day long.

My opinion:  whatever/meh.  But one thing that bothers me is how something like this gets posted 100 times on the various facebook retro feeds. 

I just found this on MSN.  Atari gets a percentage of what the hotels bring in plus $600,000 just for signing the deal.  I hope they use that money to finish the Atari VCS project they started.  I'd hate to think of all those backers not getting what was promised to them.

Yep...and Phoenix Arizona is supposedly getting one first.  I guess we now know where all those funds for the "AtariBox" are going?  They're having a hard enough time finishing up one project...why start another one?
