It finally feels like summer in Seattle -- sunny and mid 70s yesterday and 80 today. What better way to kick off summer the American 🇺🇸 way than firing up the grill? I hosted a burger party for about a doze teens and their leaders from my church on Friday. It's always fun to see young people have a good time, but it can tire you out 🙂
A funny side note, my grilling set off the smoke alarm in the house behind us 😂 They had the door to their backyard open, and closed it once they figured out what was going on. Houses are built so close to one another.

I've got a killer turkey burger recipe if you need it. Lean poultry makes the doc happy.

Note: Use a stand mixer if you have one. It makes this super easy. Cooking these outside on the grill gives them that smoky flavor that makes them better IMO.
Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
1 egg
3/4 cup Panko bread crumbs
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon All Purpose Seasoning (or favorite seasoning salt)
4 brioche buns
Instructions
Preheat the grill to 400°F and clean grill.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the turkey, cheese, egg, Panko crumbs, Worcestershire sauce and All Purpose Seasoning. Using your hands, mix everything together until they are well combined. If a little dry add a little water until the right consistency or if too wet, add more Panko accordingly.
Form the mix into 4 equal size patties to fit the size of your buns.
Cook the burgers for 4 to 5 minutes on each side depending on thickness.
