Game is addictive and fun! I recommend maybe smoking a jay before you start, or adding a wristband to your controller around level 40 lol

Everybody hates a cheater.

Welcome to our second Club VCS Recharged Squad Challenge!!! For this challenge we're playing Centipede: Recharged! Released in September 2021, Centipede: Recharged is a re-imagining of the beloved Atari arcade game.
The second of Atari's Recharged series, Centipede: Recharged builds on the foundation laid by Missile Command: Recharged. As in that game, Centipede: Recharged takes the basic premise of the arcade original, adds power-ups, a future-retro aesthetic and an endless arcade loop. It also ups the ante with the addition of 40 challenge levels, 10 of which are currently exclusive to the VCS!
Blast bugs and chase high scores in this glorious revival of an old-school classic. A dozen new power-ups can give you an edge by introducing abilities like screen-clearing explosions, rail guns, and even slowing down time.
Club VCS Recharged Squad Contest
We are celebrating the launch of Club VCS and the Recharged Squad Challenge with a contest!
From March to July we will be playing other Recharged titles. After the last game, we will hold a drawing for the winner's choice of one (1) Atari VCS Modern Controller or (1) VCS Classic Joystick Controller!
All challenge participants will receive one (1) entry for each challenge in which they submit a valid score!
The top scorer of each challenge will receive three (3) additional entries - for a total of four (4) entries in a single challenge!
In addition, the top scorer in each of our first five (5) Recharged Squad Challenges will get a ClubVCS button pack celebrating Atari's Recharged series!
This contest is open to everybody, including Atari I/O Moderators, with a U.S. or Canada mailing address. It's really easy, all you have to do is participate be a Club VCS member and participate in our Recharged Squad Challenges.
