  1. Oh no! It's another MSI Plug n Play! Ms. Pac-Man
  2. Thanks Rick! 2017 ended with another milestone. Ep 400: Survival Island (Supercharger)
  3. I'm sorry you didn't care for it as much as I, but I'm honored you gave it a try! I'm sure growing up with it helps appreciate the taste more. And of course, tastes can vary person to person. For instance, I never thought Pepsi was anything special. Here's the song in commercial form: (also, I have mixed feelings of Faygo being so tightly connected to ICP & the Juggalo culture, as WP alluded too. On one hand, it has given Faygo national exposure, but on the other hand, some uninformed people might consider it a drink for white thugs, when for years it was marketed to families and kids) I believe that boat was from Boblo Island. a theme park local to Detroit, where you would actually have to take the boat to get there. The boat even had arcade games on it! Sadly, the park is no more. BTW, I visited Michigan over the holidays and brought back more to taste test and review! (Including one just for Justin!)
  4. I would've like to have seen more games that take place in a 3D world, similar to Iron Solider and Cybermorph. Maybe even an original Doom style games, perhaps starring Major Havoc. A good Virtua Fighter style game might have helped. Or a beat-em-up, like Die Hard Arcade. However, if I could go back in the past and had some sort of influence, I would've recommended the following to sell more systems: 1) License the hot games at the time, such as the latest offerings of Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat, release them when other ports are released and advertise how your version is the best version available. 2) Create a platformer that could compete with Mario & Sonic (Sorry, but Rayman didn't have the same mass appeal) 3) Do whatever you can to either get companies like EA, Konami and Capcom to bring their games to your system, or license their most popular titles like Madden, Castlevania and Mega Man.
  5. My best guess is that less than 5% of the library would qualify, so it may depend on your definition of rare, but to me that would be pretty rare when over 95% of yours games have some form of scoring. Crypts of Chaos does have scoring, but Strawberry Shortcake is a good one, although it target younger children and has a pseudo timer in some variations with the sun. I was just curious what games went against the grain during the original run of the VCS/2600. So far, what I have is the following: Adventure 3-D Tic-Tac Toe Checkers Dragonstomper Maze Craze Riddle of the Sphinx Strawberry Shortcake: Musical Match-Ups Swordquest Earthworld Swordquest Fireworld Swordquest Waterworld Video Checkers Video Chess Let me know if you can think of any others, or if one of the above games does have a form of scoring.
  6. You too Trek and to everyone else here!
  7. Perhaps this is clever marketing, but it looks like a Hyperkin employee showed off a prototype portable N64 that he shouldn't have:
  8. My first Supercharger review of the month: Ep 397: Communist Mutants From Space!
  9. Star Wars Arcade is correct! Game 48 Supercharger
  10. I'm shocked I was able to pull this off. Most of my scores ended in the teens, then I started hitting the 20's, but today I passed 30k. 30,410 Atari Greatest Hits Vol 1, DS Played on a 3DS It's can be really tricky, because on this compilation, A, which is the action button in games, turns into the reset button after your game ends, and if I'm in the middle of button mashing when I lose my last life, I can reset the game and lose my score. I'm just glad it didn't happen this time!
  11. Optimus Prime Rubik's Crew Puzzle Cube Review. I never had this happen before during a review :-(
  12. Star Wars + Sega Mushroom = Ep 395: Star Wars Arcade (Sega 32X)
  13. Actually (Secret) Santa gave me a Pac Man Plug n Play!!! > Coal
  14. Return to the Death Star in Ep 394: Death Star Battle (Atari 2600)
  15. Game 47: It's a Star Wars Game! (You need to name the title AND system)
  16. Yes! I was thrilled to see that this one has the twist knob. I used to have the Ms. Pac-Man PnP, and it had the twist knob too, but I thought that was the only one to do that. Bonus!
  17. Actually, I do! I never got around to listing it on ebay.
