  1. I have a video I'm making (I can't give any details at this time) that I'll be using some remixes of game songs in. I have a question about this one though. https://youtu.be/t8JpbPKC9lE?list=PL7LTBDGwCmsqDExTmiYvVTGN0VpIR3--h This is basically an extended version of Keep The Groovin' from Streets Of Rage. Some instruments have been slightly changed and sections have been added. I'm about to contact 8-Beats and ask permission to use this remix, but would it be a wise choice to use this? I'm afraid of Yuzo Koshiro or Sega claiming it. This will be the biggest (and most important) video I've ever made, and I don't want any copyright claims on it.
  2. Is Pac-Man On the Atari 2600 one of the worst arcade-to-home conversions ever?

  3. Is Pac-Man On the Atari 2600 one of the worst arcade-to-home conversions ever?
  4. Congratulations on the Intellivision II and demo cart!
  5. I saw one of those a while back. Should've bought it.
  6. That's okay, I'm returning the one I have. The person who sold me this copy has an NTSC Pitfall! as well.
  7. Don't you just love it when you buy a game and find out later it won't play on your system? Well, I picked up Pitfall! International Edition today wondering if it was from Europe, and sure enough, it was. The game will only run on a PAL Atari, which I'm sure most people here in North America don't have. It makes me wonder why this game was here considering Pitfall came out in the US and Canada in NTSC format. So remember, Pitfall! International Edition is PAL. How to spot this version is simple. On the front of the label under "Pitfall!", instead of saying "Pitfall Harry's Jungle Adventure", it'll say "International Edition".
  8. Arrival Of The Dreamcast Gamer!

  9. This is part of no particular series. I simply decided to make a fun video with some friends of mine while I was in Saskatoon this past weekend. I hope you enjoy!
  10. The Search For The Floppy Disk!

  11. It's a great system with some hidden gems. I certainly want to get one at some point.
  12. I agree, I wouldn't play them or buy them. While I believe it's disgusting, to me it seems silly these days considering what these are, porn games on an Atari 2600. That being said, it certainly was nothing to laugh about back then, but now, I feel it's seen as more of a joke than anything controversial. While I certainly laugh when someone mentions these games, I myself wouldn't play them since I'm a Christian and even if I wasn't, I still think they're sick and that this isn't the way that people should view a member of the opposite sex. What I find interesting is how many of these games came out, and not all were Mystique and Playaround. There was one called X-Man by some other company and I believe there was at least one more. Also, Playaround made gender reversed version of some of these games. Seriously, these guys were huge perverts. In general, I don't care if other people wanna try these games out, but I'd rather avoid them no matter how silly or collectible they are. There are better rare games out there like Frogger 2 Threeedeep, Swordquest Waterworld, and Quadrun. Still, whether we like it or not, these will forever be part of video game history.
  13. If I saw these at a flea market, I'd laugh and then walk away. Even if they're collectible, I'd rather not have Custer's Revenge on my shelf.
  14. I'm leaving for Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in an hour! I'll have my iPod Touch with me so I can still chat with all of you :)

    1. Sabertooth

      Sabertooth

I have friends from Saskatoon! Like so many Canadians, they are in Palm Springs at the moment. ;)

  15. No, No, NNNOOO!!! Today, The Dreamcast Gamer reviews a game based on his least favorite TV show, The Backyardigans.

  16. Yeah, it was essentially Sega's version of The Legend Of Zelda. It's actually pretty good, although it's very rare. The spin-offs of Golden Axe include Golden Axe Warrior, Ax Battler: A Legend Of Golden Axe, Golden Axe - The Duel, and Golden Axe: Beast Rider (most people say spin-off, but some say main series).
  17. Mario first, then Sonic, then Pac Man, and finally, Frogger! I'd say in order of importance and popularity, that's how it should be. Anyone else agree with me on Frogger?
  18. I think you might be confusing that with Ax Battler: A Legend Of Golden Axe on Game Gear. Golden Axe Warrior was an SMS exclusive.
  19. The last officially released game was Sonic The Hedgehog here in North America. Lots of great PAL SMS games only came out on Game Gear here such as Master Of Darkness, Sonic Chaos, and the Streets Of Rage games.
  20. What I might do is get the Power Base Converter first, and in a few years or so, buy a real SMS.
