  1. I did OK lol. There's quite a bit of timing involved with the various levels, especially the cage level since there are birds flight East-West while the snappers are going North-South.
  2. You're right there. Now to charge past that plateau.
  3. New PB: 267,300. This run was also streamed on my Twitch channel.
  4. I apologize for the very short notice, but I'll be on Twitch at 7pm ET TONIGHT givng NES Donkey Kong Junior another go! I'll likely stream for an hour or two. Stop on by and hang out! (Bring beer, too lol)

  5. Let's Rewind to Episode 71: Chris 1-Bit breaks a million on Beamrider for Intellivision & sets a new TG record in the process!

  6. New PB: 202,100. I had a great first life before it all fell apart lol. That's fine, though, I was entering unchartered waters.
  7. Here's the promo for Episode 89 streaming tomorrow night at 9pm ET! New retrogaming records, a look at River Raid Reloaded, + a quick recap of the Wave Race 2022 Olympics!

  8. New PB: 169,800. I won't catch @greenween but I'm hoping to stay on the podium.
  9. I could hit a million....by adding up all of my scores! *shows himself out*
  10. I have to say this version is really good & a near clone of the arcade! 145,600
  11. Let's Rewind to Episode 70: JimmyRustles on the 18th at Wentworth on PGA European Golf. His 2nd shot would net the speedrun record, completing the course in 10:41! (He shot -9 to boot!)

  12. The two high bouncing balls are easier to avoid, ironically. The low bouncing ones are a real pain.
  13. Thank you all for your very kind words. There was a few parts to this game which came back to me when I started playing it again. I haven't had much free time lately (I took this afternoon off to get a jump on the holiday weekend), but maybe I'll get back to it and aim for the max-out. It'll take a long while so finding free time is the real challenge.
  14. (I was too busy with work this week so this one was a little late.)

Here is your Tournament Roundup for September 1! This video features recaps for Atari.io & Atari 2600 High Score Club, updates on the Master System Challenge, Antstream Arcade, & Mamemeister's High Score Kerfuffle, plus new tournaments getting underway!

  15. The low-bouncing double balls are annoying. The high-bouncing double balls are much easier as you can run right under the first one.
  16. Here's the promo for Episode 88 streaming tomorrow night at 9pm ET! New retrogaming records, a look at the GoldenEye 007 documentary, plus a look ahead to the Best of NES tournament, The Big 20!

  17. Yes, because the crook will run back and magically appear on the 2nd floor (despite the escalator only going up). You can catch the crook on the 3rd floor heading right if you time it well. Otherwise, you're stuck and will likely run out of time.
  18. Oh, sorry. TG = Twin Galaxies. One of the max-out runs uploaded to their site was by CWK, who noted the trick involving the elevator. You can also view ZilchSr's run here, in which he maxed out the game in under 80 minutes: You can run right at the low bouncing ball & jump over it in one shot. You have two choices with the high bouncing ball: Either stop running for a half beat & then resume while jumping over the ball, or duck and wait until it bounces over you. When there are two high bouncing balls, you can run straight under the first one and then repeat the choices I listed above. You really have to be careful with the speedy biplanes. You can only take a few steps before you have to duck, so you're basically inching across the screen.
  19. One MAJOR tip that I learned from a TG post involves the elevator pattern which is tied to when you capture the crook. The best time to capture Harry Hooligan is when the elevator is on the 2nd floor or when it's ascending to the 3rd floor.
  20. Remember my post above? Yeah, those were the days, huh? So... 293,600. I played on Stella 6.7 for Mac OS. I did record this run but I need to shrink the file size before uploading to YouTube.
  21. Here's a Rewind to Episode 74: BryGuy takes a huge leap in Zoo Keeper (Arcade). He would finish with a score of 73,702,300, breaking a TG record which stood for 10 years!

  22. Here is your Tournament Roundup for August 17! This video features recaps for Club VCS, Atari.io, & Master System Challenge, plus updates for AtariAge 2600 High Score Club Gamers Week Podcast, & Mamemeister's High Score Kerfuffle!

This sat in the draft because I thought I posted it, so my apologies. But it's still a good video! 😅

  23. This game is a fun one. I will probably give it a go but I won't expect to score much. It's about recalling what appears on each floor every screen; you can max out the game once you figure that out.
  24. You feel insulted. I feel pressured. 🤣
  25. Which emulator did you use? I'm on Mac OS & had issues playing this one with OpenEmu but found kat5200 via online search. However, I had issues setting up the joystick input so I played via keyboard.
