I'll PM you.  I have no plans other than Amiga delivery and my usual favorite Seattle pasttime:  "Grabbing a bag of Dick's"  🙂  Lunch with Joe Decuir would be awesome.

Hahaha thanks, Rick. That sounds great. Maybe we can schedule a lunch or something with Joe Decuir as well unless you will have other plans.

Oh man!  I'm sorry about your back.  I told you to get an LCD instead of that CRT!  🙂  Just kidding. Laughter helps, right?  Best wishes on your healing.  Hey, when my new car arrives, maybe I'll bring that Amiga up to you!

😂 thanks guys. I haven’t broken past 72k since I posted my high score. It’s safe from me, too.
@Atari 5200 Guy best of 🍀 on your quest to break 100k.

Best of luck to you and here's for a speedy recovery!
Your score in Asteroid? Im coming after it lol.  I figure if I aim high I will at least break 100,000.  Your score is not my goal, 100k is.  Beating your score would be a bonus.  But no worries, I can't even reach my last score I posted.

I'm very sorry to hear about your surgery @socrates63 but glad to know that you're expected to make a full recovery! I wish you all the best in your healing and rehab.
I think your score is safe. (Clearly, it's safe from me! 🤣)

    Nice work!
Watch some Cesar Millan (we see his show a lot on Nat Geo Wild channel and also YouTube) to get more tips.  But you did exactly the right thing in building trust with the dog.  One small step at a time.  Teaching him to walk on a leash is another good one to learn and build trust.
    Good luck!

Yes they can be.  I love my 5200 but have left it behind in favor of other machines.  The 7800 was a true powerhouse before the 8-bit era ended.

Atari 7800 opens doors to two different dimensions: 2600 and 7800. Have fun exploring both. Then do the same with a Turbo Duo, opens up TurboGrafx-16, plus CD and Super CD games. Four birds with two stones. TI and 5200 can be lonely spaces.

Here is the one I've been messing with, although they have many to choose from.  The highlight here for me so far is the fully working arcade "Dragon's Lair".  I put the image onto an external USB hard drive.

Sounds like we need a high score challenge for a 5200 game 🙂 The 7800 Asteroids challenge has gotten me playing daily on the 7800 for the first time in like forever.

Well, you could try a 7800 emulator on your PC and join us in the Asteroids high score contest.  IMO, it's the very best home version and a ton of fun to play.  I'm having trouble getting a decent score but still having a blast playing.
Over on ArcadePunks, there's a 256GB image for PC's that has a ton of retro gaming systems and software ready to go.  You just have to run the software.

Totally legit.  I remember that I'd see them a lot in movie theaters.  They could squeeze an arcade section into the lobby without too much extra space needed.  They are cool enough on their own, but they really take another step up when you see several side by side.

That looks like a ton of fun!
PS - that joystick on Burgertime wasn't broken.  That's how the game is!  I noticed it during the Burgertime challenge here on atari.io...the controls suck on emulation too.
That mini Missile Command cabinet is one of my favorite things.  I have never owned an arcade machine.  But if that mini-cab MC ever game up for sale to me, I'd buy it.  The mini Asteroids too.  I remember those mini-cabs from back in the 80's and they felt much more comfortable to me...probably because I was smaller and they "fit" better.

Busy is the new normal for many!  Don't worry about the lot of us vagabonds.  We understand completely.

I've been unable to participate in the VCS challenges because my gaming room has been taken over by visiting adult children!  I would move the VCS downstairs, but that involves undoing all the wiring and just thinking about it makes me tired.  In any case, we should be back to empty-nest status later this week.

Mostly, it's fun to read and watch all the history bits.
The coin op games are a ton of fun.  There's some obscure stuff on there.  But the real prize is Tempest with the VCS spinner.  It's a lot of fun to play that way.

Thanks.  I managed to get a little bit more done today, with the celestial map and the all important foot massager.  So as or now, this little corner is done... but I have more to do. 😞
