Joe Decuir's lectures are the best in the Atarisphere imo. What an interesting man to listen to.

RickR got a reaction from Justin in I think I should play some "ice" based games today!
I shoveled our driveway last night so we could get the car out. And today, my wife and I shoveled an elderly neighbor's sidewalk/driveway. My noodle arms are so tired, I may not play video games for a week.

RickR reacted to Justin in What a depressing Valentine’s Day. It’s been so long since we’ve been quarantined. I
We had a wonderful valentines day here, we went to play 18 holes of mini-golf and then later in the day we went out to eat at a favorite restaurant. It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun. I hope this year is tremendous for you 🌞

They took liberties. Many changes were made to the story. Many characters combined or missing entirely. That's fine, though. I appreciate that the movie is 90 minutes, and to do that changes had to be made.
In general, the spirit of the book is all there.
I just found the CGI dogs to be fake looking.

RickR got a reaction from socrates63 in I only buy my boxed games in mint condition.
Here you go, Harry. This Yars' box is probably the very worst in my collection. Here's a picture of the innards to give you an idea. I can't pull the liner out, as I Elmer's glued the bottom shut.

RickR got a reaction from socrates63 in Anybody know where I can find a relatively inexpensive copy of 2600 Mario Brothers?
The least expensive Ebay copy needs a RickR end label.

Get yourself a time machine. Go back to 1984 and find a Kay-Bee Toys. Look in the clearance bin.

It was a great place. I bought a lot of games there. After the crash, that clearance table/bin was magical. I remember buying ET for $2. Infiltrate, Krull, and a bunch of other kind of obscure games came from them. I remember saving as much cash as I could muster for those trips to the local mall.

Pro-tip: The USPS Priority Mail small flat rate boxes fit perfectly with minimal cutting to height. Putting one of those inside the box as a liner will square it up nicely.

Last night I sat down and devoted some time to this game. I had played it only to test it out before this.
And, it's great! I love all the different variations. I'd have to say my favorite is #3, the one with two balls and two paddles. I really, really like the graphics, colors, and sound in this game as well.
@Gianna would be proud.
