    Don't feel bad. I have had this game for a while now and only played it seldom. I hope one of three controllers will hold out. My poor 5200 is really starting to show its age. I am, however, getting a great picture out of it again. No fuzzies! I'm going to give it a go. Poor penguin. I know I'm going to kill this poor fella.

    It's a good game and one I missed when the 5200 was in production. I will be joining in on this one. My 5200 isn't doing too good but I might be able to squeeze one game out of it for this challenge. Intermediate though? You really trying to kill us, aren't ya? 😁

    I have not seen nor heard of those adapters. You say you checked the adapters for continuity but did you check the cable between your adapter and console for any bad wires? I'd check there if you haven't. One bad wire going to the keypad can kill all 12 buttons. Even on original controllers without an adapter. So my suggestion would be to check wires next because it sounds like you may have a bad connection somewhere if they are registering but the 5200 is not seeing them.

    I made goof, too. I got the right side of this one mixed up with my other pinball game. 🤓 Whoops. Rollerball is the one that had the gap behind the right flipper. But it is just as bad.

    One of the things I try to do to help is just keep the ball in play no matter what. However there is one area in particular that no matter how hard you try the ball will fall down the hole. If you are on the bottom play field and try to use the left flipper to get the ball back up top on the right or in the hole for a bonus round most of the time it doesn't make it and ends up falling down the gap behind the right flipper.

    Nothing wrong with gameboy. It created its own market and is still highly regarded. I wish I still had my original GB but I do have a slightly modified GBA.

    I might get 5,000 points with my first ball if I'm lucky. I have had the ball from being shot into play, fall down the center (1000), hit the bumper which knocked the ball down the left ramp, screen change to the lower half, ball exit left ramp and go right between the flippers without hitting anything else. I didn't think that it was possible but it happened to me. The physics of this game are a bit unpredictable.
