Den of Geek posted a terrific interview with Howard Scott Warshaw, programmer of Raiders of the Lost Ark, Yars' Revenge and E.T. for the Atari 2600. HSW shares his insights on the development process for E.T., the North American video game crash and the very different management styles of Atari co-founder Nolan Bushnell and former Atari CEO, Ray Kassar. He also shared some reflections on the recent documentary Atari: Game Over and what it's meant to him personally. Check it out at:

"Yeah. See, Pac-Man was just as big a problem as E.T. in a lot of ways."

I love this quote.  It's absolutely true.  The problem with Pac Man was, it made you think the 2600 itself stunk.  Is this the best this machine can do?  Blech.

thats a real good point rick. atari made it a 2k game when they didn't need to, even 4k would have been a lot better
