Top 5 Home Brews of All Time for Classic Consoles

Nice video! Juno First would be on my list. It looks better on the 2600 than in the arcade.

Just cuz it isn't on my list doesn't mean it's a bad game. Juno First is a good pick although I've had problems with that game on my Atari 7800 with it crashing all the time. It doesn't crash when I play on my 2600 Jr.

Juno First(2600), Space Rocks! (2600) and B*nq! (7800) are some of my favorites. If you add handhelds, Zaku for the Lynx is tremendous. I'm also astonished at how well Another World was translated to the Jaguar. Its of the most ambitious titles I've seen from home brew programmers.

Here are my picks...discuss!

Started watching this and thinking.... this should be good, let's see how many Atari VCS/2600 "homebrews" make your list......... hmmmm.......

5.) Jr Pac Man - Atari 7800

4.) Mario Bros. - Colecovision

3.) Pac-Man Collection - Colecovision

2.) D2K Arcade - Intellivison

1.) Vector Pilot - Vectrex

What?!?!?!? Wait a minute...... top "HOMEBREW" games?????? You do realize every one of these titles is a "PORT" of an actual/existing arcade game?

Stay Frosty 1 & 2 (Spiceware) is a homebrew ............

Man Goes Down is a homebrew....

Blinky Goes Up, Toyshop Trouble, Oystron....... homebrews

A-VCS-Tec Challenge......homebrew

21 Blue.....homebrew.....

3rd ever "homebrew" game for the VCS, Okie Dokie

Halo 2600 .....demake (port)

lesser known titles.....

Reindeer Rescue, Shield Shifter, Larry the Lemon, Spies in the Night.....all homebrews!

They're still home brews. I didn't select any games that were e.g. conversions of MSX or SG-1000 games to the ColecoVision.
