Well, I don't like Facebook, but I can ask others if they know people that go on FB. Thanks.

No worries. We never intended to do that. We want them repaired. Hence, the inquiry.

That's cool, Justin. I used to have two Jaguars and two CD units. They all fritzed out on me and are needing refurbishing. Hey, Justin, you know a lot on Atari stuff. Where can a person refurb a Jag and CD unit at? I can name a few places, like Dragon's Hoard Gaming in Texas, maybe Best Electronics in California, but I was wondering. Do you or anybody here have that pertinent information? I would be grateful. Thanks. :O)

I changed up the look of my Jaguar for this year. I think this gives the Atari Jaguar a stunning high-tech look. It's a minor change that makes all the difference in the world. On my original Jaguar that I received the day it was released in November, 1993, I changed out the red power button for the clear power button from my Coleco Chameleon Atari Jaguar console. (Clear shell with NOS Jaguar motherboard placed inside). I've seen the white dental consoles, the painted and modded ones, but for me this is hands down the most handsome look I've seen on the Jaguar.
I just moved into a new home and have been setting up my living room. I was using the clear one as my "main" Jaguar, but felt like a change this year. I swapped out the buttons and love the handsome and high-tech looking results! The clear button looks like a "jewel" placed into the face of the console, and it picks up the red glow from the power light really nicely. It's a cool effect.
I also took the opportunity to disassemble the Jaguar, give it a thorough cleaning inside and out including vacuuming dust from the "vents" at the back of the system, and soaking the plastic shells in water and Dawn overnight. (Notice the "LAW" initials/lettering written in paint pen on the underside of the shell. I wonder what this was about.) The Atari Jaguar came out looking like new! Then I added felt padded feet to the bottom of the Jaguar system so it could slide around more easily and not rub or scratch the wood in my credenza.

In Astro Warrior, I made it through Zanoni, Neibiros, and Beelzebub. It gets harder, but practice helps.

    Mike,
I'm having the same problem! I'm going to give my original Lynx a complete tear-down and rebuilt. This is the same Lynx I have had since the Lynx was new. I sent it to @Video 61 a few years ago for a rebuild but Lance broke his arm right afterwards and wasn't in good shape to do the work. I'm going to take care of the mylar issue, rebuild/strengthen the power jack, and hopefully put on some new hand grips on the back. (This is a Lynx mark II unit). I was thinking of making a video of this, or at least sharing photos here in the forums.

I now know how to completely teardown and reassemble a LYNX II console.  Really small circuit board for the time.  Impressive.  With a 6502 on board I'm surprised someone hasn't come up with a way to emulate the 2600 on it.  You know...where all you have to do is download the ROM and put it on a memory card then insert the memory card into the emulator cartridge.  Something like that.

Well, there are ARM-based computers that use Windows 10. I researched that on Microsoft's website. Interesting.

Microsoft is gearing up for ARM as well. Or, so it seems. I had heard that they are trying to make Windows 10 ARM-compatible.

Yes. I remember Cyrix. They did not last long, did they? I remember some of their chips, but it has been a long time.

That makes sense. It would be ideal that way. Happy that it's coming true.

The macOS and iOS environments should have been one from the get-go. It certainly would have made things easier then. It is a start, anyway. I believe the project is called Marzipan, to integrate the two OSes. There was also a project called Kalamata, and I believe that this led to the switch to RISC for Apple.

Agreed. It should be mandated. If they make the chips in China, the Chinese keep the money and the secret to making the chips. If they are made in the United States, however, we keep the money, the plans to making the chips, and the chips localized, as well as keeping jobs here in the US. It is a win-win-win-win situation for us.

By the way, Justin, I am also a BIG proponent of RISC. It is faster, more efficient and cheaper than CISC-based CPUs and GPUs. Also, the GPUs for the new Apple computers will be built into the CPUs, being the fact the it is a system-on-chip processor. The new Macs would probably have the rumored A14 chip as well. The chip is going to be ARM-based, so be prepared.

There are six drive-in theaters left in Minnesota. In the 1950s, there were over eighty. Well, let's hope that they make a comeback. :O)

It is still there! The Vali-Hi drive-in theater. It is east of Saint Paul in a town called Lake Elmo, Minnesota. Cool! I thought that it was closed down. I am happy. :O)

It will take time, but eventually a vaccine with proven method should be produced.

The Russians are progressing in making a vaccine, and they have seventy million doses already for use, half their population. It is experimental, but can produce immunity.

Gee. That's a putt! The closest one to my house, if it is still there, would be forty or fifty miles away.

I last went to the drive-in in 1982. We saw "Bambi" there. I have not been to one since. They are mostly closed since then in my area.
