Your assignment is to write an essay comparing CV Donkey Kong vs. 5200 Super Breakout as pack-in games.
I'm kidding! No assignments! Enjoy your time off.

You got a Virtual Boy, @RickR? You da cool cat 👍😎 I've really enjoyed the 3D in 3DS games.

It is well worth playing. Sometimes depth perception is a little wonky, but I’m assuming that’s from my playing the game in 2D. It’s supposed to be played in 3D. Luckily, this emulator I’m using (Wiimednafen it’s called, and it works on Wii and Wii U) has support for 3D glasses. Shame I don’t have any at the moment. I’ll have to pick some up from the movie theater next time I go (IF I ever go back, that is).
It’s a very fun game indeed, and I wish Nintendo would bring it back. Check it out when you get the chance.

Wiimednafen here actually has several 3D glasses options, including Red/Cyan. You should try loading this up on your broken Wii, Rick. It is crazy good at everything it does. It emulates VB, Game Boy, GBC, GBA, NES, TG16, Lynx, and more, all flawlessly as far as I know. A must-install for any Wii or Wii U.

It is cool to be able to experience the game on the Wii-U in any case.
I have here a set of those red/cyan 3D glasses, and one of my lined-up projects is to try a PC VB emulator that tries to accomplish the 3D effect with those glasses. I think I saw an ArcadeUSA video about it.

Not in 3d?
I have a real Virtual Boy, and it's the red graphics and working 3D that make it special. This game in particular needs the 3D to get the full effect of what they were trying to do. It's so cool when your eyes have to shift focus when jumping from front/back and vice versa. I'm going to guess that without 3D, the game is a lot easier and loses what makes it so unique.

A sequel to arcade Mario Bros.? I think it was the original arcade game that made me a fan of Mario and Luigi as a video game characters. I never heard of Mario Clash so I looked up some videos. Very nice looking game! It's arcade Mario Bros. on x, y, and z axes.

HDN got a reaction from socrates63 in Hey @HDN , the record player is out. I know you're a McCartney fan, and here's the on
Funny that you mention this now, as I just turned on a McCartney song for the first time in a while.
I do miss my record player; I've had to put it away for a while to make room for all the Christmas decorating. Your's seems to be of a much-higher quality!
There are a few good songs on that album, "Coming Up" is one, but its generally regarded as one of his weaker albums. I don't think I've listened to that album in its entirety. Then again, they said that McCartney 1 wasn't great, and I rather enjoyed that one. That one celebrated its fiftieth anniversary this year. So, you do you. Don't assume that something is going to be bad because of its reputation. For instance, 2600 Pac-Man. I love that game! Who knows, you might like McCartney II after all (or maybe not).
I think I'll have to give that one a listen at some point. Perhaps I'll enjoy it.
And also, I see "2600 Space Invaders: The Album"! I believe that one's "Don't Look Back"? I don't listen to Boston.

This reminds me that I have "The Amazing Adventures of Pac-Man" on vinyl on display in my office. Time to fire that one up.
Honestly, I don't think I've listened to McCartney 2 all the way through. Not my cup of tea.
Our record player has a USB connector, so you could theoretically record digital copies of records. I have never tried that though.
Now THESE ones I think are awesome:

That is correct!
I'm not an artist, and some of the better-decorated cookies were my sister's. These are pre-cut cookies, so I think if I had some better ways of applying frosting (like one of those frosting bag things) I think they could look better.
So yes, that's Gingerbread Man Samus and Mario. I used a tableknife to carve the metroid, Pac-Man, and Blinky. I think next year I will cut the cookies BEFORE they are baked. But I still think they look nice. Christmas cookies needn't be fancy. They're all going to the same place!

What fun! I loved baking Christmas cookies with my Grandma as a kid and my daughter when she was younger.
I see Mario, Pac-Man, Blinky, the Super Star, and what I think is a Samus Aran.

Thanks @HDN! Yeah, I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. It was one of those last minute ideas... My girlfriend and daughter with both quietly skeptical before they saw it. LOL! It was important for me to cover different games/iterations, including Atari 2600 Pac-Man. I'm glad that you like it!

That's AWESOME! Honestly, you must be so proud of yourself!
And you should be. That tree is fantastic. I think my favorite parts about it are the blue and yellow lights and the various Pac-Man ports and games represented.
FANTASTIC job!

Those power supplies are known to go bad and take the C64 with it. This one tests out fine. But it makes sense to either buy a modern power adapter or buy a Ray Carlson sacrificial diode wire.
On my breadbin, I built my own power adapter AND use the diode thing.

It's available for the 3DS. I'll have to take a look in the e-shop.
I figure the 'gator doesn't like being caught and locked up. So that's where the revenge factor comes in 🙂
