I'm 52 years old, and have been married for 28 years.  All I have to offer is old memories and the advice I gave my own kids (who are now in their 20's).   Probably not too useful.  But here goes.
Rejection - It's normal to be fearful of it, but don't be.  Get used to it!  Not just with people and relationships.  There'll be job offers, college applications, etc, etc, etc.  The more you face it and deal with it, the easier it gets.  No means no.  Listen well.  If someone says "no", honor it. No arguing!  That's where honor and respect come from.  Go slow.  Listen at least as much as you talk. You let me know if you have specific questions, ok?  I don't know you well, but I know you're smart and articulate and decent.  Trust me, you are well ahead of most others with these three traits.

Thank you all. I just felt I needed to say something about it. I haven't said a peep to anybody else about this yet. Not even my friends who have called me out on it before.
Rejection - It's normal to be fearful of it, but don't be.  Get used to it!  Not just with people and relationships.  There'll be job offers, college applications, etc, etc, etc.  The more you face it and deal with it, the easier it gets.  I've realized a few weeks ago that just sitting there wouldn't do me any favors. So I decided that I'll just have to go for it. Scary, sure. Necessary, yes.
No means no.  Listen well.  If someone says "no", honor it. No arguing!  That's where honor and respect come from.  Yes, that makes plenty of sense. That'd be super creepy and stalkerish. Rejection certainly isn't ideal, but I wouldn't get all weird if it came to that.
Go slow I figured. It has been about a year (give or take a couple of weeks) since we first met and started talking. I bet a lot of the reason its been so long is that I was petrified for a bit there. But I feel that it is almost time to do at least something.
And if this is in regards to the instance in which this were to become a relationship, also very good advice. Taking things slowly is better. Petit a petit l'oiseau fait son nid.
Listen at least as much as you talk That is much easier said than done, heh. You've seen me talk before. I tend to go off on such loooong tangents. But I've been making an effort to control myself and learn when to shut up occasionally. I'm still not great at it, but I'm trying.
One thing I would add is there is a "safe" middle ground and remove the anxiety associated with "dating" on an official basis. Ask her if she wants to hang out at the mall or food court to grab lunch. Keep it loose. Add a friend or two (yours or hers) to alleviate even more pressure if you feel the need. You know, I actually tried this earlier this week. I figured that saying "would you like to go on a date" would be incredibly awkward and clumsy, and if I got rejected it would hurt all that much more. So I asked if she wanted to "hang out sometime". That way, should things go south, it would never have been official.
Though I'm not sure whether bringing other friends (at least on my end, I don't care what she does honestly) would be a good idea. I don't know, to me it just seems like if I brought another friend it'd be a bit harder to "read between the lines". It's not that I'm pressured around her or anything. It's more the notion of making things "official" that kind of freaks me out at this stage. I guess I'll have to just wait and see how things evolve.
Oh, and by the way, she said yes to hanging out sometime. I think this was Monday or Tuesday. Problem is that for the foreseeable future it's going to be incredibly cold and windy outside. I can't go inside anyplace for a long period of time because of the virus. Plus I can't drive yet because of my *cough* *cough* completely rational mother.
But thanks for the help and things. I appreciate it. I think that the hardest part for me is just talking about it to others.

And yep, Covid has made everything hard.  Hopefully the vaccine will help return things to normal this year.

My sons are 17 and 20, and this is what they've been doing. Neither of them has had a girlfriend of the steady type yet.

That's true.  The sad part is how a lot of companies put out some really great games right before or after the crash but got overlooked by all the crap that had saturated the market.

    Nice get, Rick!
I never knew Avalon Hill made 2600 games until a few months ago. So many companies made games for the 2600 that I never heard of. It’s pretty amazing what was happening with the 2600 while I had my nose deep in Atari 8-bit.

"Avalon Hill" games had those shells.  I think they made about 5 2600 games.  "London Blitz" is another of the ones that I've seen.

New test video. This one worked out loads better. The Doki Doki one had something like 435 dropped frames in a four minute video (I assume most were in that birdo fight). This one had only 5, all of which showed up pretty much as soon as I clicked the “Start Capture” button. It sounds much nicer now! I haven’t noticed any times when it was out of sync yet.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  (one day late).
You got some seriously great games there, although I cannot make out the leftmost SNES game.  But Super Mario 2 and 3, Demon Attack, and Pilotwings????  WOW!  Powerhouse line up there.
