RickR reacted to Justin in 🤔 If Nintendo wanted to blow people away they should release a new NES game. Real car
What I'd like to see is something new from Nintendo that would really shine on the NES and SNES. They effectively gave us a "multicast" with the Minis. Let's see something new, maybe one of Nintendo's newer franchises on the 8-Bit System.

I've been thinking the same thing. A Super Nintendo cart version of one of their latest Switch games would be so awesome.

Yo! Very well done. I'm not just being nice. I can see that you're taking your time and getting it just right.

Yeah, it's weird. And if I click on the twitter link, it just completely blanks out.
Probably just a quirk of my PC or browser.

RickR got a reaction from Sabertooth in Another acquisition for the 2600. This one is a very fun shooter
That's what I thought too! It's really hard to focus on top and bottom, but I feel like with some time and effort, I could get a lot better at it. Isn't that the mark of a great game?

Nice score @RickR! I'll have to try this one out on Harmony!
I agree that so many games were released once the flood gates of 3rd party publishers opened. Lots of undiscovered games yet to be played. Thanks for sharing!

@Justin -- Just an FYI. This is what the status updates with Twitter links look like on my desktop. They look fine on my phone.

The entire Imagic library is outstanding. Star Voyager is another favorite.

There's a lot of games that I never heard of back in the day, and it's kind of fun the "discover" them all these years later.

One thing I love about 2600 are all the different companies and cart designs and layouts. OK sure the over saturated market were but one of the things that contributed to the demise of 2600 before quality control was a thing but I think flooding the market with so many cartridges also made for a fun retro system to collect for these days. Was always interesting to see how a company would try to stand out from the rest.

I've always thought it's the true successor to my all-time favorite game "Adventure".

The original Legend of Zelda is one of the great games of all time in my opinion. It holds a very special place in my heart. It's also indicative of Atari's failures and where they could have gone with games like E.T. had they made better decisions along the way.

RickR got a reaction from Justin in 📺 Formally setting up my Sony Trinitron TV stand w/ my 8-Bit systems at the new house
I can't wait to see it!
Let's see that wiring. I'm always interested to see how others set up their gaming systems. Example, here's the RF switchbox I've been using. It does a nice job, but I sure do have a lot less RF systems than I used to. Only two at the moment. At one point, it was maxed out. But a lot of systems sold, some of them had the composite mod, and now...only two.
