Picking a 1st is a monthly debate in my head!

I'll say the 2600 is #1, so that puts the Atari 8-bit computers as #2.  Why?  I grew up with that system and I constantly find myself going back to those games.  It's one of the systems that I leave out and ready all the time. 

Ask me next week and I might say NES or PS2.  It's so hard to rank them. 
 
 

I have Never been, but Nevada is a place I’d love to visit! It has always interested me. Plus, Vegas would be fun to check out 😄

I used to stay with a former Atari colleague of mine who had a place in Cal-Neva, a cool little resort village right on the state line between California and Nevada. The state line ran right through the swimming pool and the clubhouse. On one side there was gambling, on the other side there was no smoking. Pretty interesting!

I think we'll do 8K Pac-Man next year for our next National Pac-Man Day, it will be a nice way to remember Nukey Shay and a heck of a lot of fun ☺️

Hi @MaximumRD, it's funny you say that!! Sunday is typically laundry / 8-bit Nintendo day for me as well. Laundry can be too quiet for me, almost like meditation or swimming under water. I decided doing laundry would be a nice time to listen to some good podcasts. I clearly remember one Sunday in 2009 you recommended that I check out the Retroist Podcast, that I would enjoy it. This was around the time that I had the YouTube videos, usually with an 8-Bit Nintendo game over my shoulder on the TV set behind me. I started listening to The Retroist regularly, and Sunday turned into a "treat" I would look forward to. After a while, that became a big inspiration for me to create Atari I/O and the Forums.

Oh no, you deserve all the thanks for hosting these challenges.  They are always fun and most appreciated. 
I'll brainstorm on other ways to spread the word.

I posted a link on @nosweargamer's Discord server.  I'll also post to my local retro gaming facebook group.  You all let me know if you have other ideas for spreading the word.
