  1. You've got some really good ideas there @RickR! All five of those bullet points get a 👍! If you could take on a couple of those, it would be awesome. I also like @Marco1019's idea of emulation under the Mac platform, unfortunately I have no Apple products and will not be of any help there. I've heard of something called Wine, that may be of use integrating some Windows only items, but don't know. @Justin is right on the mark when it comes to this being a friendly place, in fact it's the major reason I'm here. 🙂 If we all chip in and spread the word, I think it'll build things up quicker. No one person can do it all, and some may not like hanging out at a place where one person dominates everything. The more the merrier is one of the major goals right? Yes, again I think @RickR has a valid point, especially as we are starting out, keeping it simple and fun. Later as more come on board if they want, more in-depth topics will probably just come about. Rick, would you be willing to start a thread something like, "A Beginners Guide to Getting into the TI?" You've shown you have a firm grasp on the entry level aspects. If you want, I'd be willing to make some support videos for your posts. A month on each game sounds good, maybe even a poll letting users pick between some choices for the person who decides to take on that role? Letting users volunteer for month might also be an option that will let others feel more involved.
  2. Nice! I like seeing things restored, especially when finished. I had a friend, who has since passed away, who picked up an old used game at a thrift store a few years ago and man that thing looked like garbage to me. But the first thing he did was disassemble the case and stick it in the dishwasher. After that he spent a few days with a bottle of scratch remover and some rags, after that he had me make him up some labels. When it was done it looked brand new... unless you got up real close and inspected it.
  3. Well that's the problem, from what I've been told they are all 'common cartridges' with little to no value, so selling them would be like giving them away for less than what I paid, and keeping them will be out of the question when I downsize.
  4. If you want this new area to grow, we'll need to use it. So, to that end, what would you guys like to see here?
  5. I was just the other way around. I got a bunch of cartridges first, then got the AtariMax. Now I'm stuck with a buch of cartridges I never use.
  6. Over the past few years there have been some really amazing new 'homebrew' games and some impressive ports. The question arises, where does one start when showcasing so many cool games? Well, I couldn't answer that question, so I closed my eyes and picked one. So, here we go... PENGO - Yes, Pengo, not a cheap copy or imitation, but a pretty accurate port of the Sega blockbuster. Give it a shot, and tell us what you think! In the future all of the "goodies" appearing in this thread will be indexed for easy perusal and downloading, but in many cases the physical file will be in this thread. EDIT - Please note, you'll have to be signed in for the download to be available. PENGO.bin
  7. Thank you. I'll not let it go to waste! I have most of Tuesday & Wednesday off next week, so I'll "start construction" then. It's going to be fun!
  8. My favorite episodes... DS9 - Past Tense (Parts 1 & 2) - I combined both these episodes into one "mini movie". One of my favorite genres in SF revolves around time travel. ENT - Storm Front (Parts 1 & 2) - I also combined these two episodes. These two can stand on their own, even taken out of the ongoing storyline. TNG - The Inner Light TOS - City on the Edge of Forever - Yeah, another time travel related episode, of which there were three in TOS IIRC. PIC - I cannot pick one in this series as all 10 episodes were part of the same storyline. VOY - Blink of an Eye - A stand alone episode covering the development of a civilization in a few hours due to a time differential. FAN - 4 Years War (Prelude to Axanar)
  9. Star Trek fan, who me? Yep! Take note though, that "Discovery" is not on my hard drive, I think that speaks for itself.
  10. @RickR Scramble is a good one, as is Thetris. Check them out! scramble.bin thetrisfinal5200.bin

    3D Images

    Well, in that case...

    3D Images

I thought I'd start a thread for high quality 3D images. If you would like to see more, please let me know, otherwise this first one will be the last.
  13. ... but I gotta admit, some of the cinematography looks great!
  14. Well, I was going to see this around June or July of LAST YEAR... TRAILER #1 ... then it got put off until Christmas 2020 due to COVID-19... ... then it got put off AGAIN until later this year... TRAILER #2 ... and while I'm not a big Tom Cruise fan, my lady is getting impatient, so yeah, I'll be watching this one.
  15. Thank you! If it's also possible, I'd like perpetual edit capability on the first message of the "TI GOODIES" thread so I'll be able to update the files listing with all the new stuff as it appears further on down the thread as time goes by.
  16. I'm a little slammed for time right now, but not only will I let you know, I'll even post the .BIN image so you don't have to go hunting.
  17. After giving this more thought, what would be nice would be if the TI-99/4A had it's own heading (not under Classic Computing). I'm not sure you would be willing to do that though with so little traffic at first. But IF you did that, It would also be cool to see two pinned threads at the top, "TI GOODIES" and "User's Systems". For "GOODIES" I would spend the next few weeks (as time allows) populating the section with cool stuff. I have a vision...
  18. If you're into the 5200 and like "Homebrews", there is a good chance you have a Multi-Cart or Wafer-Drive (same thing long story), but out of all those games at your fingertips, what is your favorite game? Can you choose one?
  19. Below is a link to my site. Let me know what you would like to see in a video on, I just might make it! << You Tube Channel Link >> Example Video:
  20. In my opinion, the best emulator is << CLASSIC 99 >> and it's free as well! It comes with a good supply of starter software... and the ROM's as well. All you need to do is click on the link, download the software and stick it all in it's own directory. Easy peasy!
  21. This is no K-Pop cookie cutter, teeny bopper, bubble gum lame group, these girls can ROCK.
