  1. If you're most people, you have a few "favorite games", but playing the same games all the time can get a little... well... boring. So, you're probably like many of us who have a "Personal Rotation List". Oh, the list might not even be written down, but do you always seem to draw from the same batch? Well, if so they must be really good games! Let's share our lists with each other and see what turns out to be the most popular among us all. The top few can be weaved into this threads sister thread the: Weekly Showcase - Homebrews, Ports and Others Let the GAMES (listing) BEGIN!
  2. With COVID-19 and all, TI get togethers have been few and far between. Sooooo, how about watching the TIPI presentation I made at Fest West 2017? If I get some positive feedback, I may just re-upload some other videos from the 2016 & 2017 Fest West get togethers.
  3. I've never seen a TI that did not have a socketed 9918. I cannot speak of all the QI motherboards out there, but even on the photo below of this QI motherboard has a heatsink, but the 9918 is socketed.
  4. Sadly, so many people jump to conclusions now days without having all the facts. I'll be the first one to admit a bare bones console is as worthless as a rusty anchor without a chain. Add 32K and a FinalGROM and you have something that can play games. Add a TIPI and WOW!

Before I post anything else for your viewing pleasure, I'm aware the operator of this site would prefer I not fill up his hard drive, by keeping my images off-site. With that in mind, does anyone have any recommendations for a FREE site that will allow me to link my photos to that does NOT plaster a hosting watermark on the image? This may be asking too much, but I'd rather not give any site my email or other personal information that would spam my inbox.
  6. Woah, looks like I dropped the ball! It's time for a new program! This one is called FLYING SHARK. I warn you all now, it's addictive as heck, so play at your own risk! FlyingShark.bin
  7. I'm assuming the cartridge you are talking about was the one I made for you using an UberGROM? If so, check out the files attached below. I made a PDF manual for it a few years ago, and a separate cover if you choose to use it. Now that all being said, 4A/DOS or TI DOS, Command DOS has effectively been replaced with a newer program called Force Command. 4A DOS - Cover.pdf 4A DOS - Instruction Manual Rev-02.pdf
  8. @Airshack my friend, I have one major suggestion for you when it comes to the PEB TIPI unit, be sure to purchase an SD card extension cable! Why? Well, for starters you'll be able to use full sized SD cards if you want, but most importantly if you ever have to reformat and reload the SD card due to a glitch, it'll save you a lot of hassle taking the lid off, removing the card and getting tweezers out to remove the micro SD card. It'll also be practical to run multiple configurations of multiple SD cards.
  9. Actually I completely suck at that game, but it's the only CIB TI game I currently own. It's pretty amazing when you think that Tursi had to design a whole new cartridge just to be able to hold the megabytes of data required.
  10. EXCELLENT! The PEB TIPI is great! Welcome aboard @Airshack!!!!!! After you get it all hooked up, I'd love to see a photo!
  11. Yes, the Final GROM will run images up to 1 megabyte in size. It will work on the beige QI units that Texas Instruments disabled third party cartridges from working on. Since it supports GROM, it also runs more sophisticated software that the FlashROM cannot. It also allows for hundreds more programs as it allows for subdirectories. I find it's kind of nice to organize things and not shove them all into one directory. One example is a new program in development...
  12. Thanks! This will give you a closeup of his quality level
  13. YES... but... it REQUIRES a FinalGROM or UberGROM to function as the image is 512K. In this case a FlashROM will not work.
  14. Yeah, sorry. The video was 5 years old and out of date, so I deleted it. However since the FlashROM was effectively been replaced with the FinalGROM, the best I can do is give you this link: https://corei64.com/shop/index.php?route=product/category&path=72_73 which in my opinion has the BEST 3D printed for the TI-99/4A that there is.
  15. After I finally get done with the Atari.io video, probably in another week or two, what would you like as the next video?
  16. You think you know the rock song Highway to Hell? Watch this Korean girl band do the cover, you might like it better than the original.

... and if you have those kind of bridges, you should have at least one exterior view, right?

... of course these two "bridges" look better. 😉

    Yet another bridge...
  20. << This link >> is to the wallpaper I use. I've chose this as it looks good across multiple monitors and it does not clash with folders & shortcuts. It also comes in different sizes.
  21. I just found this thread, so I thought I'd pile on... Main PC is a Dell XPS Desktop with 32GB RAM, the video card is an Nvidia GForce 1060 with 6GB, the CPU is an Intel i7-8700 @ 3.22 GHz 6 Cores 12 Threads. Storage (over three drives) comes to about 12TB.
  22. If it's smaller, you're paying more!

  23. Cool thread! I understand the day job, but I'm going to click "FOLLOW" so I'll be informed of any new action.
  24. I've been holding off on this because my hope is to get some participation from others and because I don't want this site to have only one person, namely me, posting, as I cannot imagine that would even be remotely interesting. I'm also a little behind schedule on making the promotion video for YouTube as I've had work and family get in the way... priorities right? Anyway, you CAN help out by posting this areas link on other services you may visit participate in. https://forums.atari.io/forum/129-texas-instruments/ So, if you are are FB, Twitter, Reddit or anything else, please spread the word that there is a friendly place to come to.
