My family had an all-in-one stereo at one time, with a record player, radio and 8-track player. We eventually got rid of it. The record player was needing repairs, but everything else worked on it. I would listen to Chicago on the 8-track tape player. Glorious sound.

Very true!  I have a small stack in my attic (turntable, tape deck).  I sold off the analog receivers long ago.  Although I still use a digital receiver under our family room TV setup.  It drives a 3.1 set of Bose speakers that has a nice "boom" to it.

I've contemplated changing to a soundbar system, but in the end, I'd really miss that ability to switch between input sources so easily.  We have a blu-ray player for movies, a USB drive for music, a Roku, and two loose HDMI connections for connecting a laptop or game system.

My parents had a Magnavox brand console stereo for a few years.  It was fried twice in Italy due to failing/faulty power converters.  Then somewhere between 76 & 78 Dad switched to a component setup, which was real nice.  It's interesting now that many people do not even have stereos anymore, but use bluetooth soundbars to use with their cell phone or TV.

Get a Toyota Crown!  I would absolutely get one of these if it came up for sale locally and I am not kidding.

Does your coffee get cold before you drink the whole cup?  Why not cover the cup... WITH A STIRLING ENGINE?  << HERE >>
Not only will your coffee stay hotter longer, you'll be able to tell when it starts cooling down by the speed of the flywheel!

This one was too good to pass up!

Okay, this one is cool, and they've been around for decades, but it's expensive and has a 5 year warranty.  One should know though that they all eventually fail.

That brings up the age old question... Ginger or Maryanne?  For me it's always been a no brainer, Maryann of course!

Just save the URL, because when you reach the limit (I think 10), you'll need to exit and restart the browser to reset their counter.

@RickR Yes, I find the timer function useful for when I have pizza.  I tell it Alexa, Volume 6... then ... Alexa, set timer for 25 minutes.  I also use it for music, asking questions like, "Alexa, how far is Voyager 1 from Earth?"  Playing the news and getting news alerts is cool as well.  I've even reordered toilet paper with it.

I find it very useful for telling my Roomba to vacuum without having to futz with the cellphone.

Umm…no and no and no a thousand times no.  There are these long things called “snakes.”  Say it with me…S N A K E S.  They slither into everything.  I don’t care how calm the water is…there’s no guarantee it will stay that way.  It’s nature.  Nature always does the unexpected.  I love camping and fishing but I’ll keep my happy butt on dry land or on a fishing 🚤 boat.

Do you have any old black and white family photos?  Do you want to colorize them, but don't have the talent or skills?  Try <<THIS SITE>> !!!  It's free, and easy!  Just slide the image over, and press go!  I tried it out a couple of minutes ago with a test image and here were my results!
