Well ..came close to my goal. 68,230.

So 52,400 is my high so far and 158,890 is the current squad challenge to try to beat? I'm setting my goal for 70,000. Sounds like a good round number.

And I tried Vanguard last night. No difference in ship speed no matter how much you move the joystick.

It's possible, especially with the 5200, analog controls were originally in the game when the instructions were being written. At last minute the controls could have been changed before the instructions went to press resulting in inaccurate instructions.

I was going to post my best score here on Socrates page but my score there is better than here. How'd that happen lol?

It's too bad Activision doesn't continue their patch legacy. I'd love to have one. I think they are nice. Then again a Call of Duty patch might not be as cool as these 2600 game patches.

Fun? Yes. Simple? You're funny. Hard as nails, man. Just when you think you're in your zone, WHAM! Another one bites the dust 😜. It's very easy to misjudge where you are in relation to where their shots are. And some enemy stages are setup to where if you don't clear yourself out a path they will get you. Hard but very addictive. I'm loving it.

When @RickRposted this about the Hamburgers I thought he was kidding. Then I read the instructions in PDF format. Nope. Some kid got bored and decided to Nerf gun everything in the house! Ha

Man. So this is the kind of game play action I missed out on having a 5200 instead? Gee...I was the odd kid on the block.

Wow! I think I was hypnotized. 52,400. Fun game but hard as nails. And I've heard people say the 2600 is a primative system. Blah! It still packs a punch.

I misunderstood about the TrakBall thing. I never paid attention to the analog controls in Vanguard.

If I remember correctly, Vanguard doesn't support the TrakBall. I tried that BITD and it did not work or work well. I can't test it now because I have not found a TrakBall yet.

It's F-Zero. Of course I'm going to be here. This is fun. Silence is my favorite track in the game. Congratulations to all players!

I use to subscribe to Nintendo Power, VG&CE, Tips & Tricks, Popular Electronics, Game Informer, and I would get the free Game Center mags from Walmart. Almost all of those no longer exist. I also had an Official Dreamcast Magazine subscription from the very first issue. Miss that mag. Lots of cool stuff. I still have my collection of Game Informer and Game Center mags. I revisit those frequently but can't believe that most of the games "fixing" to be released are now 5 years old. Oh...I also frequently subscribed to Computer Shopper when it was good. I haven't seen that one on the shelves in a while.

I need to get F-Zero for my SFC. Great game! This was the game that made me want a Super NES. It wasn't Mario...it was this game. It's crazy fun and addicting. And the soundtrack is perfect. All around great game and my number one favorite SNES/SFC game.

Wow. Those are some good times! I'll have to try again later tonight.

I can't seem to beat my first time. Still trying but can't get below 2'15".
