  1. I forgot to post I'm using my SNES 😊 The only thing I'm using different is the SFC controller but commands seem to be a bit lacking and not instant. I'll try cleaning the controller pads. If that doesn't work I'm going to try this game on the SFC with same controller but only for controller testing.
  2. I'm going to try to play in a bit. I just wish I could use my SFC.
  3. Does your FC still have its rubber feet on it? Mine lost its feet at some point. I tried putting new ones on but the size I found was a tad bit too big and didn't stay on.
  4. Wow! Your's looks to be in excellent condition. It still has the little sticker on the front next to the controller port. Mine had the sticker but the writing on it was long since gone. I hope it serves you well. They are nice to have. I recommend Tetris because it is different than what we received here.
  5. I believe Epyx made my favorite handheld of all time...the Lynx. I really enjoy the library of games I have for it, although my Lynx library is only at six games. But I have discovered my two latest additions have allowed me to rethink my original opinion about the Lynx. The games I had for a previous Lynx I owned were not games that would have been deciding factors to owning a Lynx. While fun, Checkered Flag was OK but got boring after a while. Joust was great but also a tired game for a suppose to be powerful handheld. S.T.U.N Runner and Xybots are now in my library along with Batman Returns, California Games, Warbirds, and Blue Lightning. I play Xybots the most. It's a shame what came to the Lynx didn't get a simultaneous release on the Jaguar. I know it was supposed to be a 3D able system but if it could have received games like S.T.U.N. Runner and Xybots I believe the Jaguar would have been better received by the public. Likewise if games made for Jaguar could have been made for the Lynx, not all of them of course, I believe both systems could have benefited. Those games should have also made it to the ST and STe line of computers, too. Those got better support overseas than they did here stateside. So great hardware during the Tramiel era but very poor software support or at least mediocre. Advertising would have also been a huge help.
  6. I'm going with hurt on this one. Here's my reason. Jack did not understand the computer and video game market at all. While his Atari had interesting hardware, computers and consoles, they feel cheap and flemsy compared to hardware Warner Atari had put out prior. Even my 5200 feels better built than my STe. The 5200 is structurely more solid, it doesn't feel like I'm going to break it by touching it. Time is also proof as the 2600 and 5200 consoles I have seem to have aged a bit better. Then there's software. I don't care if you have $40 machine or a $4000 machine... without software to support and take advantage of the technology inside that machine is worthless. I remember the Jaguar ad I got in the mail decades ago. Listed a ton of games and I knew Atari was pretty good about supporting their hardware. Only a handful of those games actually made it. Finding them was a different story. Last, I watched a Computer Chronicles episode on YouTube where Jack was talking about the ST. He said America was the leader in computer technology and he liked it that way. Pretty much politely dogged Asian countries yet he sourced all parts for his hardware overseas. Not that it was a bad thing but he sort of contradicted himself. I don't give him credit for anything. His R&D guys did most of the work for practically peanuts. All he did was own the Atari brand and he destroyed it. The real Atari was under Warner. That's when everything Atari just seemed magical.
  7. Yes. The kit I found does not alter the physical characteristics of the system. It simply gives it a more modern display that should also improve the battery life.
  8. Did I mention Cybermorph is one of my favorite games of All-Time?
  9. I wish I could join. Still packing up and moving...a little at a time. My video game stuff is in cardboard prison! And I have no way to bail them out 🙁
  10. Plans for 2022. Let's see. First and foremost remain healthy so I can accomplish 2022 goals. We are moving to a much larger place so I will have more room. I'd love to do live streams playing games on real hardware. I'd have to get a better capture device that will work with my older systems, even if I have to connect them to a VCR first. As for video games themselves, and like @DegasElite, I would like to expand my Lynx collection, find Tempest 2000 for the Jaguar without having to take out a loan, and import more cheap FC and SFC games. I'm after one more console to add to my collection and then I'm done collecting hardware. I'm after a PS3. I was after a Saturn and TG-16/PCE but those have really gone up in price for their games. If was to add a Saturn as well I'd import a junk model from Japan. It's be cheaper that way. Other than that I'll probably just try to get to the games I have been wanting to work on, beat them, and move on. I have picked up so many XBOX games with gold this year that I have a lot of them I've never spent time on. On the PC side I have claimed every game Epic Games has given out for the entire year. That library is in the hundreds and I bet I've only spent time on a few games. My main goal:. Beat some of the games I already own be it console or PC. Maybe that will be my goal this coming year instead of collecting hardware.
  11. You guys who view the link may have to use the translator in your browser but I thought this was too cool. I had to share it. https://akiba-pc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/news/1371/608/amp.index.html It is a device that can copy your saved games in carts that use battery back-up and save them to an SD card. If connected to a PC you can edit the files however no PC is required to copy saved games.
  12. I have an old Dell desktop with a P4 and running XP I was wanting to do something like this with. I was going to use MaLa front end but I can't find it anywhere. I really liked how you could manipulate every aspect of it and make a front end that was your own. I might just hang on to it after all.
  13. I'm all for it and I have Cybermorph. Unfortunately all my gaming gear is packed up and at the new digs. I hope I'm setup before this challenge ends. I'm hoping to be completely moved this weekend but it's just me, my small car, my brother in law and his truck doing this...and we have a lot of stuff for just two people. I'm downsizing while packing what I absolutely can do with out. I'm keeping all video game stuff for sure but downsizing my PC collection (Windows only machines). If I can get things done I'll setup my Jaguar and join in.
  14. Well, I found a PC in our dumpster about a week ago and while I had no interest in the ITX motherboard I did claim the wireless card and 1 TB Toshiba HDD. Those were put in my gaming rig and working perfectly. My brother in law is part of some kind of a testing program and gave me a brand new HP x32c computer monitor. I'd say my Christmas has come a bit early. The biggest thing is we are moving across town from a 1 bedroom to a 3 bedroom apartment. I'm not quite sure how long it will take to move but hopefully we will be settled before Christmas day. If I was to wish for anything I believe I would have to wish for our new place to be a blessing and not a burden. That and maybe finally get our own washer and dryer. I have plenty of video games to last me the rest of my life. Yes, there are some I'm after, especially for the Japanese consoles I imported, but if I didn't get any more video games I'd be happy with I have. I have a pretty good library of games. If I could I'd gift myself a PS3. That's the last one I'm after.
  15. I have a question. https://bennvenn.myshopify.com/products/drop-in-lcd-kit-solderless-drop-in-pre-order-revision6 Has anyone here with an Atari Lynx upgraded the screen or thought about it? I know I said I wasn't going to but my screen has been getting worse lately. Very ghostly and lots of vertical lines. What I found is $75, requires the inverter to be removed, and one wire to be soldered in (optional if you want scanlines if I understand it correctly). As much as I hate to, I'm seriously thinking about saving for it.
  16. I have to admit that when I got my keyboard and mouse from Walmart I wasn't expecting much but.to my surprise the build quality is there. Both are not bad for being an ONN brand. I would recommend them to any one looking for an alternative. Your keyboard looks really nice. What is it again?
  17. You can change the light settings to be solid, steady, rainbow, only light up when you press a key, and there is one that lights up the key you press brightly and dimly lights surrounding keys. You can also turn them off if you choose. I personally like the rainbow effect myself but that's my opinion. The keyboard itself has a nice click feel to it. But this keyboard can be noisy.
  18. I use an ONN branded gaming keyboard and optical mouse, both with RGB lighting. I really love both of them. Bought separate, not together. And the lights are animated.
  19. I make no guarantees because money is tight this year but I will try to participate. I won't list anything until I know for sure if I can participate.
  20. No...no I don't. I will try to get one soon.
  21. Devil World not being released in NA is due to NOA's strict policy. Nothing religious could be in a game they were going to publish for the NES. I've seen vids on it, though, and it looks fun. F1 Race I'm familiar with on the GameBoy so I would expect the FC version to be sort of the same. I have yet to research the Nuts & Milk game. Surprisingly, most FC games are fairly cheap, shipping charges can kill you, though.
