RickR
Has anyone done a composite mod to their 2600? I'm thinking about giving it a try, but wanted to know if it's difficult/easy/whatever.
AtariBrian
Yeah I've done it with the cheap kit from this guy http://www.vintagegamingandmore.com/guides/ on both my 2600 six switch and my 7800. I also did the more expensive board that has real stereo, but I think I prefer the cheap one. As long as you aren't scared to break parts out and scratch traces off the board, do it. While you are in there install a on/off led. Brian

Yo-Yo
I have a 2600 I've set aside to mod but haven't got around to it yet. Might read about your experiences first before I dig into it.
RickR
Thanks for the info AtariBrian. I now just need the guts to try it. And a desoldering tool. Any recommendation on that?
AtariBrian
The simple Radio Shack desoldering pen works great. It was pretty easy, and it was fun to do. I also did the led mod and the pause button mod.
Jayson_B24
Has anyone tried the Ben Heck mod? I have a Darth Vader that I've done and I thought I followed the instructions to a T, but I get only sound on my 36" tube TV & and sound plus rolling B&W picture on my 13". I'd REALLY like to get it working... Atlas was permitted the opinion that he was at liberty, if he wished, to drop the Earth and creep away; but this opinion was all that he was permitted. Jayson_B24
Yeah, I could do the portable thing, but I'm not SUPER interested. I just want the A/V mod. That's where I'm running into trouble. ???? Atlas was permitted the opinion that he was at liberty, if he wished, to drop the Earth and creep away; but this opinion was all that he was permitted.
