I was going to say this yesterday looking at Mr. Run and Jump, and Berzerk - it's so strange looking at classic Atari packaging and seeing an ESRB rating labeled on the front. That always hits me as a little surreal.

Vectrex is so cool. I wish I had picked one up years ago.

His artwork is interesting. Striking colors with a touch of surrealism.

This joystick is great. Boy is it accurate in its movement. I just received it and need to play more games with it, but I’m already very happy with this purchase.

I have a couple of Masterplay clones that I use for Space Dungeon. Here’s an old pic of the setup.

I don't ever recall playing Avalon Hill games during the 80s, but I do recall seeing their magazine ads. The box art always grabbed me and seeing these games take me back. I'm happy to have added this title (which I had never heard of) to join Telengard and Legionnaire in my collection. I think the type of material used for the boxes and the art themselves really reflect the table top war gaming history of the company. There are a few more that I'd like to add in the future. This one included the registration card and catalog. It'll be fun to peruse the catalog and see what was released.

I'm also excited to add more 5200 controller options. While I already have an adapter by ikongr which serves the same function for Sega controllers, I love the the fact that these come in 5200 cartridge cases. And perhaps the most important point for me is that one of these supports 7800 controllers for use with the 5200. This means I can use my 4/8 Edladdin controller with my 5200! I have never seen an adapter that supported 7800 controllers for use with the 5200.
I would have gotten two 7800 adapters but I bought the last one with this order. Hopefully, early next year, I will place an order for Edladdin's twin stick controller, and with a second 7800 Redemption adapter, I can have ultimate twin stick Space Dungeon experience.

Yesterday's mailbox - "the eBay special", ha.  Brain Games for me and Kirby 64 manual for the lady.

Blaster Master for NES was a request and recommendation from an extended family member. Looks pretty fun from what I see online. It's been nearly 20 years since I've touched an NES controller, oof!  Liquidated my few NES and SNES titles long, long ago.

Sweet CIB. I have the cart and manual, but no box and of course, my cart is full of Actiplaque. Fishing Derby is a fun game. 👍
Note: Champ Games’ Gorf Arcade is excellent. If you’re thinking of purchasing it, make sure to get an AtariVox if you don’t already have one. The game will taunt you with 40 phrases.

Been on the lookout for Fishing Derby for a while now (yet another "read about but haven't played" title) - finally found one at an acceptable (reasonably sane?) price. The seller had several other titles for sale; these other two were impulse-purchases.

I've heard that Champ's version of Gorf is the far superior version, but haven't tried that one out, either.  I see Mountain King evidently is an "untested" 2600+ title; not that it's a deal-breaker or anything.  The "Ram Plus" box emblem, though, leads me to believe it probably won't work.

Something fun about this old cardboard!

To be fair, Microsoft launched Xbox 360 on this week in 2005, so they've been providing support for the system for 18 years.

Here is a first look at one of our new games we are porting over to the Atari 7800. It's a work in progress. This is actually from the 7800 version we are porting.
It's Laser Blast X, it should be awesome on the 7800

Here is a Video showing the latest work in progress for Amok Bots, Delta Space Arena, Laser Blast X, Putt 18, and Venture. It took me awhile to figure out a way to multiplex 8 sprites within a horizontal zone. Keep in mind I am forcing more sprites than usual to one horizontal zone, so for the most part, you will not likely see much flickering with my games ported onto the 7800. Some games have the character set written over several times in the background. This is to test to see how many sprites can be displayed over a background. The Multiplexing manager routine prevents crashes or the graphics becoming corrupted if too many sprites are displayed in the same horizontal zone.

These are awesome efforts, furthering my envy of anyone who can code as I never have been able to wrap my head around that

Laser Blast is the first 2600 game I remember playing so that hits me in the nostalgia zone right there. Always had a soft sport for Venture as well.

I really need to fix the power button on my 7800 so I can play these games again and be ready for new ones.

I am not sure how many here program using the 7800 Basic. RevEng done a good job with some recent updates. I figured out most stuff. I cannot exactly go over to the other forum for help right now. Have to go by if someone posted about a similar issue.
What has gave me a lot of delays with older versions was "unresolved symbol" list and the compiler not showing what it was. Very frustrating. I put the 7800 games aside in favor of doing more 8-bit and 5200 stuff. The other stumbling block was converting MADS assembler to DASM. Being case sensitive and acculumular not being represented with a @ (ASL @) made it difficult to port code from the 8 bit version.
I made some progress with trying to get one complete game that I can use as a template for others. I have graphics for the sprites for 2 games. PNG images. Maybe do more as I figure more stuff out.

MOONBLASTERS X FOR ATARI 7800 WORK IN PROGRESS. VIDEO FOR NOVEMBER 19, 2023.
This is the latest update for MoonBlasters X for the Atari 7800. This is what happened to the Laserblast X project, as myself and Video61 are going in a direction of more original content earlier this year.
What happened during the summer of 2023 caused concerns with unlicensed ports from other game systems.  Several games were already in development. Instead of cancelling development, we decided to change stuff to make them more distinct and original.

NOTE: I edited the title of this thread to reflect the artist's name Terry Hoff - as not to become confused with Intel and Atari's Marcian "Ted" Hoff who is not an artist, but rather one of the inventors of the Microprocessor 🧠

You are correct! It looks pretty cool with the addition of the missiles for Missile Command. Btw, this is an excellent game IMO.
