I still cannot access this site from a laptop/desktop browser. Firefox & Chrome both block this site while Safari just hangs in place. While I'm writing this update from my phone, I'd much rather access this site from my laptop. Any suggestions?

I wanted to post an update yesterday but this page wouldn't load for some reason. The issue was likely on my end.

Anyway, it's been hectic on the non-gaming side of life but I did manage to stream the show last night. Ironically, it was a welcome relief lol.

I was somewhat busy with work this week, busier than in previous years. I then tried to sneak in some gaming on Twitch but I ran into a few issues:

1. The game I wanted to play (Bagman Comes Back for C64) wouldn't work on VICE
2. The latest update for Ecamm Live (streaming software for Mac) was causing VICe to slow down (!)

I never had an issue with streaming any gaming on Twitch until this week. Of course, if there is a patch to be issued by Ecamm Live, then it likely won't be issued until well after Cyber Monday. What really puzzled me, though, was VICE slowing down from 50 fps to 47 fps. The CPU % dropped 5% as well.

So I will install Twitch Studio Beta for Mactoday  and give that a try, but also keep it installed as a backup. Twitch Studio Beta is designed for new streamers; the easier for me to learn & use, the better lol.

I will continue to use Ecamm Live for my show but not for any gaming, at least until the next update.

I will admit that this new Atari collaboration with Cariuma has me a little intrigued. I own a pair of Cariuma canvas sneakers and they're nice, casual footwear for the summer.

I will be on hiatus until the fall. I will return on a date to be determined.

I will miss out on this month's Club VCS Challenge, unfortunately. I just didn't get to Akka Arrh as I hoped.

However, the good news is that I will be able to (finally) stream future Atari VCS runs! It took some trial, error, and luck, but I was able to split the HDMI signal and record it my MacBook Pro. Here's a clip of me playing Missile Command: Recharged...

I'm so sorry for missing the weekend pizza party. The irony is that we ordered pizza for dinner on Friday night, but I was so fatigued that I not only forgot to take pics of the pie (it was a small 'special', fully loaded), but I played MAME instead of Atari! Oops!

I've been adjusting my new RTO schedule, hence the limited communication lately. The flip side is that I have large block of time where I can edit & do show prep. I've decided to tinker with my Tournament Roundup video schedule, in part because I fell ill a few days ago and in part because of the schedule of various tournaments and challenges.

So my plan is to create & upload a new Tournament Roundup video later today with the aim of a Friday schedule.

I've also decided to sprinkle my "Rewind" clips, at least for the time being.

Intellivision Master started Astrosmash record run yesterday morning at 8am ET. After 13 hours of gameplay, he not only beat the scoring record, he finished with a Peak Score of just over 5 million!

Is the Calendar open to all members? If so, then may I place my show on the calendar?

It dawned on me a few days ago: Tron would make for another great Pizza Party Summer Watch Along....Event Thing! (I'm still waking up, y'all.) After all, Tron is celebrating its 40th anniversary!

HOWEVER, there are a few problems.

While Tron is available on Disney+ for subscribers, it's a rental on Amazon ($3.99). The bigger problem is this: If you have Prime and want to host a Watch Party, then everyone who wants to attend your party must also rent the movie. Yeah.

(My suggestion would be for the Watch Party host to pay more in exchange for the party attendees to view for free. Amazon is fine. They don't need $4 from 10 viewers for a party.)

It doesn't look like I'll be able to get in on the current Challenge for Elevator Action. I'll likely wait for the next game to see whether I jump in. I'll have more time; the EverythingC64 Forum Challenge this month is Boulder Dash and I was never really good at that game.
