HDN reacted to RickR in I think I should play some "ice" based games today!
I shoveled our driveway last night so we could get the car out. And today, my wife and I shoveled an elderly neighbor's sidewalk/driveway. My noodle arms are so tired, I may not play video games for a week.

HDN reacted to Justin in What a depressing Valentine’s Day. It’s been so long since we’ve been quarantined. I
We had a wonderful valentines day here, we went to play 18 holes of mini-golf and then later in the day we went out to eat at a favorite restaurant. It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun. I hope this year is tremendous for you 🌞

They took liberties. Many changes were made to the story. Many characters combined or missing entirely. That's fine, though. I appreciate that the movie is 90 minutes, and to do that changes had to be made.
In general, the spirit of the book is all there.
I just found the CGI dogs to be fake looking.

HDN reacted to RickR in My mom FINALLY budged and let me take Drivers Ed. YES! However, there is one problem.

Never seen this one before. 16K with a built-in tape drive! Neat stuff.

HDN got a reaction from socrates63 in I only buy my boxed games in mint condition.
Last night I sat down and devoted some time to this game. I had played it only to test it out before this.
And, it's great! I love all the different variations. I'd have to say my favorite is #3, the one with two balls and two paddles. I really, really like the graphics, colors, and sound in this game as well.
@Gianna would be proud.

From the looks of it, I think it might have been one of the bricks in the game at some point.

HDN got a reaction from socrates63 in Anybody know where I can find a relatively inexpensive copy of 2600 Mario Brothers?
Very funny, Rick.
I hadn’t even heard of Kay-Bee until I started watching NES works in 2019.

The least expensive Ebay copy needs a RickR end label.

It was a great place. I bought a lot of games there. After the crash, that clearance table/bin was magical. I remember buying ET for $2. Infiltrate, Krull, and a bunch of other kind of obscure games came from them. I remember saving as much cash as I could muster for those trips to the local mall.

Get yourself a time machine. Go back to 1984 and find a Kay-Bee Toys. Look in the clearance bin.
