  1. I dig the idea. I also like using the word monthly to give it a magazine feel. You could also add your name to the title to make sure it's unique, like Kamakazi's Retro Gaming Monthly.
  2. So apparently, it's a wireless ps2 controller, which makes sense, since Sega supported the PS2 after the Dreamcast died. And they made another color: And, they made some Saturn style controllers for the PS2 as well:
  3. nope. I'm pretty sure I put it in another junk box for someone else to grab a while back. Sorry.
  4. I found this Lego Star Destroyer at Goodwill for $10. I'm not sure if all the pieces are in the bag yet. It is missing one of the 3(!) manuals, but it does have some extra Star Wars mini figures. My son and I are going to work on it together to see if it's all there or not.
  5. I have a soft spot for TRU. I decided to hang this Lynx game box on the wall, simply for the TRU price sticker: (I think I got this in a trade with RickR) Also, I'm happy you posted about the display cards. I built a nice collection of them, although I only plan on keep a few in the long run. I would really like to find one of those strips they hung on, but for now, I McGyvered some plastic paper report binders with yarn to start hanging them on my wall.
  6. I think I both got it from a junk box and then I put it in another. Can't remember when for sure.
  7. Here's one in honor of all the TRU talk. Joust for the 7800. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Joust-Atari-7800-1986/302676640465?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649 I only like this one because of the TRU clearance price stickers, including one covering up an original orange tag and how they put one right on the face of the main guy!
  8. I asked my sister to look at the video and she believes it is a Yorkie Shih Tzu mix. She has had two. One has passed, but the other is still alive and over is 13 years old! She also added this: If they are the same breed they are prone to ear infections and eye infections so you want to clean the ears wth solution from the vet and trim around the eyes regularly Here are some pictures of her dogs to compare to yours:
  9. Thank you all! The list has been updated to 153. For my 150th review, I covered the iconic Missile Command. Not sure what I'll do when I reach 200. Maybe Skeet Shoot...
  10. Neat. I wonder if they were inspired by Commando Raid.
  11. That looks like the same kind of dog my sister has. I believe it is a Yorkie Shih Tzu mix.
  12. An Intellivision game on an Atari 2600 Plug n Play? 2017 Atari 2600 Joystick Plug n Play
  13. BTW, the underwater space invaders game and the breakout game on the Coleco Pnp aren't too shabby, and were only found in the two player version (they also made a single player version with half the games) The fly catching game on the other hand is one of the most pointless video games in the history of mankind, lol. 1) Starbuck66 MI 2) RickR OR 3) btbfilms76 CA 4) TrekMD FL 5) Willie! NC 6) Atari Creep MA 7) correagonzalez VA 8) NSG TN We are half way through! Thanks for keeping the box moving everyone!
  14. Nope! That was actually a second one I found, still in its case for a great price! I thought it would be a fun thing to add to the box!
  15. Cool! Gopher! Btw, that was my review copy of Plaque Attack you got! Congrats!
  16. Growing up in Michigan near the Canadian border we constantly had to be on the lookout for Canadian coins. It was not uncommon to get one or two mixed in with your change. At the same time it was not uncommon to pay for stuff with a coin or two mixed in. However quarters we're a bit of a pain as they wouldn't be accepted and most vending machines or arcade games.
  17. Nice! I'm assuming most stuff will transfer, like old threads and such, but do you have any idea if there is anything that won't transfer over?
  18. You're very welcome! Luckily, it defaults to automatic fire on a 7800, which is how I like playing. Thank You! I didn't realize there were other "shoot all the paratroopers games" !!! Ep 429: Mega Force

  20. I might be in the minority, but I like the "modern meets Atari" look of both controllers.
  21. The following is snippets from this article https://venturebeat.com/2018/03/19/atari-unveils-atari-vcs-its-first-home-game-console-in-9-years/ The company is showing off the Atari VCS, Classic Joystick, and Modern Controller prototypes to the press this week at GDC. And it is working with game developers, content creators, and other partners to finalize details. In April, Atari will announce a preorder date for the Atari VCS. Earlier, Atari canceled a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo because its development hit a snag. “Every person at Atari and every partner involved with the new platform is just as fanatical about the brand and its heritage as our biggest fans are,” said Atari Connected Devices chief operating officer Michael Arzt in a statement. “With the Atari VCS name, we know how important it is to get everything completely right, and that’s why we briefly paused an imminent launch late last year. It was a difficult decision with the countdown underway, but we weren’t willing to go forward with even one thing out of alignment. We hope that despite the delay, Atari’s fans appreciate our extreme attention to detail and are as excited about the Atari VCS as we are.”
