  1. OK, this one is extra nerdy. Honk if you remember Red Green
  2. This one came up on Facebook, and I got really excited because I remembered this and actually took advantage of the offer to get a free EA game.
  3. I wonder if Gameeye allows import of data from a spreadsheet. The idea of having it give the value would be interesting to me. Set up a notification that if any game goes over $100 in value...SELL! 🙂
  4. This is a great idea, I need to do this. I currently manually copy the file to my phone every once in while.
  5. The Star Trek cdrom has never been opened and is for win 95/98 lol
  6. I use an Excel spreadsheet with a separate tab for each system, and then a summary page that adds them all up for me. I'm guessing the cloud based apps like Gameye have a lot more features...but I was collecting before any of that existed and came up with the Excel solution then. But you are totally right, it does help buying duplicates.
  7. For the oldest era - Atari, Intellivision, Odyssey, Coleco...100%. Middle era of NES/SNES/SMS/Genesis, I'm probably 30%. And the later disc based systems....10%. Nintendo handhelds, I'm also up there around 80%. I play those a lot when traveling. The main issue is time. I work too much. And taking care of the house and family is something I gladly prioritize over gaming.
  8. Analyzing the Lost Starship: The Resurfaced Enterprise Model from 1964" from Trek World https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFQlxIA5phU
  9. Not to see who has the biggest or anything, but I'm curious about how many individual games you all own. My number is 1876 (which is down by about 10% over the last couple of years). For me personally, this helps explain why I've slowed down so much on collecting and tried to focus more on playing.
  10. LOL! That was a great way to start a Friday. Thank you.
  11. A lot more info and pictures are in this message board here: https://www.therpf.com/forums/threads/red-alert-lost-3-ft-tos-enterprise-found.354596/ From what I'm reading, this is indeed the real McCoy (pun intended), and the model is going to The Roddenberry Foundation.
  12. And here is more info about the model and how it went missing.
  13. The Disney+ app allows downloads? I'll have to check out that feature.
  14. And look at that seller name "storage_buyer_90". Was it found in an abandoned storage unit by someone born in 1990? I'm glad it didn't go to that a-hole "Yep!" guy on Storage Wars 🙂
  15. I meant to mention this. The auction was pulled down almost immediately. I'm fully theorizing here, but I imagine it will need to be returned to the Roddenberry estate. From all the books I've read, Gene had all the paperwork that proved Paramount had gifted this model to him. It had been loaned out to a special effects firm that was working on Phase 2, never to be seen again.
  16. It will be fascinating to learn the backstory here. Judging by condition, it looks like it was hidden away all these years. In an attic, garage, or basement. NOT on display by a big collector, that's for sure. Maybe the thief didn't really understand what they had. Or maybe they were too afraid to have it out on display. My imagined theory is that an old uncle died, and the nephew inherited a house full of stuff. The asking price of $1000 tells me they had no idea what they had. Thanks for fixing the orientation. I fixed it before posting, and it shows correctly on my computer...but uploading it here shows it the wrong orientation again.
  17. It is the original 3 ft model used on the original pilots and series (you can tell when it's the 3 ft model when there is no internal or nacelle lighting). Stolen from Gene Roddenberry in 1978 (he loaned it out to a special effects firm, but it was never returned)...never to turn up again until now in this e-bay auction. https://www.ebay.com/itm/256276685400 Here's a pic in Gene's office: And here's a pic from the auction At this point, it is unknown what is going to happen with this. I imagine lawyers are involved. Stay tuned, as this is really exciting news for Star Trek fans.
  18. Ah, that's awesome. Thanks for sharing.
  19. I think the deal came because I had been a subscriber in the past and quit. Then I was on a free month trial and they e-mailed the deal near the end of that month.
  20. Good to know. I'll put that on our list. I cancelled the Disney+ after watching Andor (which I didn't like at all). Picked up Hulu to watch "Only Murders in the Building" season 3. That's done now, so maybe go back to Disney+ now. PS - I got a sweetheart deal on Paramount+. I think it was $24 for a year. So we've been watching "Lower Decks" weekly.
  21. Great price! But I always imagine this end-result for me and a drone. Or having it end up on the roof like a frisbee.
