Well I figured it was time to update this after I downsized into my retirement condo. My computer room is not large, and it does not have all the cool toys like many of you have, but it's functional and I like it.

I'm older than many of you here, so way back in 1977 my first dream machine was the TRS-80 Model I, but as a kid I simply didn't have the money to buy one. Looking back that was a good thing as computers were changing so fast and obsolescence raised its ugly head rather quickly. About six years later I ended up with a TI-99/4A because the color graphics, the Parsec game and the lower cost for entry locked me in. I eventually did get a TRS-80 Model III later for more practical uses, but got rid of it after a couple of years. The TI-99/4A is a quirky machine, but nostalgia brought me back to it decades later as nothing more than a hobby machine to see what I could make it do with new tech add-ons. As the years piled up, and the decades have past, computers no longer seem to be the mystical and magical holy grails of my youth, now I see them as only a tool to do the things I want. I am finding out one thing as I approach codgerhood, it's true what they say about senior citizens and their second childhood, however it's more fun the second time around as now I can get whatever I want, unlike that kid so many years ago that had more dreams than means.

http://moonlander.seb.ly << CLICK HERE >> To play Lunar Lander online! Here is a screen grab of my first landing... ... and my second landing...

Ouch! I read the reviews. This is the first time I've felt compelled to cancel an Amazon order in over eight years.
-
@TrekMD Please let me know if that micro SD card slot does anything other than expanded score settings...
-
Thanks for the heads up on this unit! I've been wanting the original 1979 arcade version of Lunar Lander for decades, and this unit has it! So I purchased the unit for the TV in the bedroom, which will put those wireless controllers to use. I did notice that the Amazon quantity indicator LIES. It said there was only one left when I clicked buy... it still says there is one left. But at that price, it's a real good deal!
-
The version I have was purchased from the AtariAge store a few years ago. I've only played it once. 🙄
-
I just did some checking on this unit.... IT HAS THE ORIGINAL LUNAR LANDER!

I wouldn't mind a paddle for my 5200 Tempest cartridge. Where do I get ahold of one of those and how much do they go for?
-
Yeah, the .STL was never printed/verified by the author, but I assumed it would be right. My mistake as you can see below...
-
Well it was SUPPOSED to be a cartridge holder for my 5200 cartridges. Sadly I had to abort it with 10 hours and 49 minutes remaining. When I was eyeballing it the size seemed to small, so I paused the print and checked it with a cartridge... sure enough... too small. Grrrrrrrrrr! 🤬
-
Woo Hoo! Only 13 Hours and 35 minutes remaining!

Yep, when a company goes above and beyond expectations, word gets around and brand loyalty is fostered. Sad thing is companies these days are being penny wise and pound foolish.

Since this is a thread just for TrekMD, I thought I'd post this unique photo of the Trek Super-Duo taken ant an odd angle.

<< THIS >> pdf MIGHT HELP YOUR NEED FOR A FIX! 😉
-
I agree!
-
I only have one question... how much does it cost?
-
** UPDATE ** I found an .STL for a ten cartridge holder! I usually print using .2mm fine detail or better, but that would take around 24 hours, not something I'm all that excited about, so I sliced it for .3mm draft mode, because the case isn't going to be on display anyway, I just need it for function behind the doors of the armoire. It'll still take 15 hours and 45 minutes to print, so I'll start it after I get home from work on Monday.

These are the homemade labels I've have on my cartridges for the past few years (as shown in the old photo below).
-
Maybe because 5200 cartridges never came with end labels, maybe because the system was not that popular. But one of my next tasks is to comb the internet for a suitable display rack to modify in my slicer for my Atari 5200 cartridges, because as of now, I've been unable to locate a ready made display rack, and while I don't use many of my physical cartridges, I don't like shoving them all in a box.

Well, if I were you guys I'd pass on the camera. While the image is okay for a cellphone, there does not no appear to be a way to view live images on your PC, at least without the cloud function that I have no interest in. Also the companies shipping times are the worst. In the end I would not recommend this camera.
