  1. Agreed! The idea of paying that much month for commercials on top of the lousy delivery service is not something I care to encourage.
  2. I don't understand this one. If I remember correctly, a kellicam is a Klingon unit of measurement.
  3. Why do I continue to pay for Amazon Prime? At least half my packages are late, so much for two day shipping! In this case they waited three days before sending it, and on the fourth day they tell me it'll be another day. I think I'm going to cancel soon. If I want to buy something small, I'll just wait until I can place an order over $25.00 to get the free shipping, because with the delays I'm paying for essentially nothing.
  4. A friend of mine wanted these images colorized and cleaned up a little for a project, so after doing so, I thought I'd share them here for anyone that might be interested having watched the Little House of the Prairie TV show as a kid. The real Ma & Pa Ingalls Laura Ingalls as a young lady. Laura Ingalls Wilder nearing middle age Laura Ingalls Wilder as an older lady.
  5. The groom needed a bow tie...
  6. My Star Trek themed den was missing a little something, so I printed up a new switchplate for the light switch.
  7. Man I really like that image, who care if it may or may not have been an artificial web. I liked it so much I decided to give that graphic the Omega Treatment.
  8. I installed and ran the new version of Tursi's Classic 99 and all went well, I then ran the Telnet program and all went well, but after I ran RXB, my computer deleted Classic 99 from the computer by itself. I thought that was odd and tried to reinstall just the classic 99 program from the ZIP and it gave me a virus warning. I'm not up enough on the culprit to determine which program started it, but I've fallen back to an older version or Classic 99 for now.
  9. Are you old enough to remember this?
  10. The human mind tries to make sense out of everything.
  11. It depends a lot about what you have on your computer as startup programs. I have 32Gigs of RAM on my computer and it takes much longer than ten seconds to boot.
  12. Merry Christmas to everyone at Atari.IO!!!!!!
  13. I've always loved the guitar solo in Stairway To Heaven...
  14. When I moved to my retirement condo I filled up an entire 96 gallon rolling plastic bin of VHS tapes for the garbage man. I think I have one remaining VHS player in a box somewhere along with the gadget to transfer tapes to SD card. Everything I own, except for a few hundred DVD's in now evenly duplicated among 3 8TB hard drives. I simply have no room for all that stuff, and since I'm not getting any younger, I don't want to leave behind a mess for my beneficiaries.
  15. $799.00 for that first drive? That the equivalent of $2,252.05 in 1985 dollars. Now days you can buy a whole computer for that! What gets me about the add is that they make it sound like such a good deal.
  16. The orientation of the habitat's dish towards the sun takes all that light and runs it down light tubes that illuminate the entire space. One would assume that a dish of that size, being some miles across, would be able to generate enough electricity 24/7 to accomplish a lot of tasks, heating, cooking and cooling being just a few.
  17. I'd prefer to hollow out a nickel-iron asteroid of reasonable size leaving at least a mile thick shell to solar block radiation, toss a bunch of ice in it, cap the ends, heat it up and introduce a spin. It would be like a small city after a few generations of growth and building. In case of over population or political differences, they could simply start a colony asteroid of their own. There's plenty of raw materials for the taking out there, and without the gravity well of Earth to hold you down, much of it would be easily accessible. Planets are nurseries for infant races.
  18. The original batman and Dr. David Banner (The Incredible Hulk). About a dozen years difference in premiers IIRC.
  19. Watch the video below from The Immortal John Hancock on YouTube!
