    eBay FAILS

I would be positively ashamed to post something in that condition for sale. It looks like something someone plucked while dumpster diving.
  2. The two systems I own, get little to no attention here, the Atari 5200 and the TI-99/4A. Because of this, my interest has sort of dried up, but I like hanging out here. So, I'd like to get some ideas of what system I could be exploring that gets a decent amount of attention and has new stuff being made for it. Anyone?
  3. Had the day off today, so I got my new 72" computer desk assembled in the new place for when I move in at the end of the month. I also picked up a new super fast cable modem for the Internet.
  4. << CLICK HERE >> For more info from NASA
  5. Woah! A Korean version of Joan Jett!
  6. Lots of "space" on display there!
  7. Anyone up for a TI-99/4A high score game contest?  If so, what game would you recommend we go with?  Of course Classic 99 (emulation) as well as real iron would be allowed.

  8. I LOVE IT... Is he really working if he has that much spare time?
    1. TrekMD

      TrekMD

Thank you.  That must be newer than what I had read!

  9. I just finished season three of ST:Picard. Oh man, with that little cameo of... ... they are just begging for a new series!
  10. An acoustical version of Blackened by Metallica. Actually quite good (if you ignore the lyrics).
  11. It's sort of a picture. The holder turned out quite well, but I think I'll have to redo the lithophane with a more detailed resolution and eliminate the text.
  12. Thanks. I think I'll print another, this time in PETG. It sure as heck beats spending big bucks on some of the ones for sale online.
  13. TinkerCad I remember that for future reference. In the meantime I located a lid to a box, chopped off the top, resized it and saved it in spiral vase mode. This is what I ended up with... ... I'll know in a couple of hours if it worked, or if I got the measurements wrong. I have a few nearly empty rolls of filament to test with, so no big deal.
  14. I was looking at my TI-99/4A keyboard this morning... and an idea came to me. I took out the tape measure and realized a keyboard cover, for just the keyboard section of the TI-99/4A would easily fit on the bed of my 3D printer. But of course as of yet I have no design skills, and don't even know what 3D design program would be the best to download learn. It does seem like a very simple first project... a simple rectangle with rounded corners with walls about 1/2 an inch high. So now I'm thinking, what if I find a suitable joystick design out there, resize it and/or then cut it to the proper height in the slicer? Cheating? Yes. Will I succeed? Stay tuned...
  15. Looks like in three weeks I'll be signing up for a month of Paramount. I want to see everything I've been missing.
  16. Sad that a whole year has gone by without a new or updated posting of someones TI system. 😪
  17. There are not a lot of photos of Abraham Lincoln, but yes he was President during the Civil War and photography had been around for a while, so...
  18. I believe it was a word processor cartridge with it's own parallel printer port. Sort of a poor man's word processing system for those who could not afford a P-Box and/or separate RS-232 at the time.
  19. Sometimes you need a little sugar rush when playing a game to obtain that "higher score". To that end I printed up a candy dispenser to put next to my TI-99/4A. I still have to get the canning jar and lid to put on top, and of course fill it with delectable jelly beans, but this is what the finished print looks like.
  20. Since everyone thinks this season is great, I'll sign up for a month of CBS All Access next month and watch them all. I'm paying for far too many plans and services to keep them all active at once.
