I have actually heard of that before but I've never seen one, even in gaming museums. Looks like something that could be 3D printed nowadays.

Same here.  I've heard of them, but my guess is that they are extremely rare.

I found a bit more information on the device at Atari Headquarters' website...but they say basically the same thing with the exception they believe that they should be in abundance but it is unclear when that article was published.
