  1. Big Brunch at the best Diner in Kelowna. Followed by a downtown waterfront walk.
  2. Just seen this really cool video and had to share. 😲🤩 I'm Atari Kiosk ready!... well just need the kiosk now. I was able to get this excellent condition LaserDisc that was used in the Atari kiosks at retail stores by Atari dealers back in 1982. This interactive LaserDisc demonstated how the Atari 400/800 computers were a must have for you and your family. Included in this video, I've created a high quality video capture in its entirety. 00:00 - Intro 00:23 - Overview & Background 02:18 - Close Look at the LaserDisc and Jacket 04:32 - Atari ERIC POP Full Version
  3. I saw this literally minutes ago and had to laugh it was so obvious. While it may not exactly be an Intellivision I think it is pretty clear someone in the prop department must be an Intellivision fan 😆It goes by quick but it was obvious enough I went thought "Hold up a sec, is that?......" so I paused and took a screen grab. ODDLY it's supposed to be a movie playing device which makes the controllers very questionable 🤔 🤨🤷‍♂️ Now to be clear, it's a new movie trailer for a movie on Peacock and after watching the trailer it was enough for me personally to say "Er, I think I'll pass" BUT I thought it might not be noticed by many and if anything this might be the best thing about it so I thought I would share it. Now, you can watch the trailer and see for yourself (about 1 min in) I have also attached a screen grab for convenience. Maybe this could have been Intellivision in the future or perhaps an alternate reality version, I think what I would really like to see is a modder with much greater skills than I turn a normal basic Intellivision into a copy of this one (perhaps using one that is already blemished or defective as to not alter a good one) but anyway I just found it amusing. Trailer (pause about 1 min in) The money shot: Feel free of course to add your own Intellivision consoles or variations or obvious tributes to the console as seen in Movies or TV shows. I personally cannot recall any others off the top of my head, has an INTV II ever appeared in any? Would love to see that. Of course the the classic Atari 2600 has been spotted in TONS of films and TV shows, heck even the Colecovision is seen in the movie Firestarter with Drew Barrymore but I don't think the good old Intellivision got much representation? Maybe I am wrong, let's see what you got!
  4. TSK TSK you can't sneak it by, nice try! Man, this parody has been around a long time. Anywho just came to drop this one. ! IF I POST ANY MORE THAN ONCE AND SOMEONE NOTICES LET ME KNOW! SO MANY ARE BEING POSTED I MIGHT NOT KEEP TRACK! 😛🤷‍♂️

Funny you should say that 😝 as I am JUST getting over some type of Stomach Flu or bug, past 2 weeks it's been just liquids and light foods, I had it BAD, like I actually vomited, last time I vomited from Flu or Virus I was a child as typically I got a cast iron stomach. About a week in I made the mistake of eating too heavily thinking I was mostly better and BAM total relapse, nausea, diarrhea but today woke up feeling I'd say 80% better, so much so I have been in an a productive mood, doing laundry, did dishes, cleaned bedroom night tables and dressers, just thankful to say feeling uncommonly chipper and motivated after being in lazy recovery for too long. Will have a light meal later. So HOPING FINGERS CROSSED I am on the other side of it now. Also from eating like a bird the past week+ I definitely lost extra weight through this time, Melissa has been noticing of late, I am not one to weigh myself and don't even recall the last time I did but out of curiosity I decided to and let's just say I am a couple of pounds less than I ever thought I'd be for what I consider my normal so bonus I guess 🤷‍♂️🤨I recorded it for reference but I am considering it my "sick" weight, will see if I level off or maintain but for now I can easily say I am currently about 30 pounds lighter then when I was pushing maximum density back in 2012 or so before switching to intermittent fasting, cutting out sugars and other lifestyle changes to help with diabetes etc. Gotta take the wins where I can get them these days right?

As Tony the Tiger used to say, "I'm great!"  I got a whole 48 hours to myself with no work, no chores and no social obligations.  I'm gonna eat, sleep, play, print, read and goof off!

  6. 🤔🤨Question, ever noticed on Youtube going through recent videos to watch that you are subscribed to a channel you do not recall subscribing to?

No, but if I did I'd attribute it to my declining memory.

Yes and I believe this is intentional. I have channels created for specific uses - for example, one YouTube channel just for my living room - these channels will be subscribed to zero channels, and after a year there will be a few subs to very large, mainstream entities that YouTube likes too promote. They're like "shadow subs".

Ah ok, it's something I have heard others claim as well and honestly, before I noticed it I too assumed it was just something "forgotten" however there have been some that there was simply no way I'd have subbed to, yes I have a TON of subscriptions but there is just no way in hell I'd subscribe to certain channels as they have only ever had content that is of zero interest, which is why I knew immediately something was up. 🤨

  7. Just finished imaging the OS on the Legion desktop the Asus laptop and the bedroom PC. Oh yeah! Regular imaging back ups. I love it. Also, I am a nerd. 😝😎😂🤷

  8. Well that's putting it nicely, classic R.E. voice acting is renowned for being horrible 😂all part of the campy fun these days. The first 3 games are great.
  9. Our 3 month old "NEW" Desktop 😝😎 Truth be told this video should have been uploaded about three months ago. I have no excuse for not having uploaded it sooner besides procrastination. Though at least now I can say that having lived with the machine this past three months++, I am very happy and satisfied thus far. While certainly not the highest-end machine for our needs it is a nice little step up from the previous CyberPowerPC desktop which it replaces. I give some details regarding the specifications of both machines, as well as why the replacement and just a little bit of my usual droning on and on about things. So please, enjoy, I figured why not upload this now since it's been another long while since you've heard from me, hope you're all doing well, until next time.
  10. Thanks for posting, great memory that relates to one of my best and most beloved memories, such a similar experience but with an opposite reaction 😏so I had to respond because of my own similar experience yet a very different reaction! Setting the scene.... I was about 5 years old I recall peeking over my mother's shoulder though I was supposed to be sleeping, she was watching Vincent Price in House on Haunted Hill but with every peek I could get in I would stare intensely wide eyes in awe, I found the fake skeleton terrorizing the woman fascinating more than scary. I was fascinated with various classic Horror from The Hunchback of Notre Dame starring Charles Laughton to Boris Karloff Frankenstein, safe to say as I got older the years I was not the kid playing sports or pretending to be a cowboy or spaceman, no I was the Wolfman. Any scares to be found for me were always fun and exhilarating. I mention all this to begin to give contrast to your experience and indeed yours is an experience I have seen by many but I tend to fall in the other category I think 😁If anything getting older I would crave something that could in fact scare me, a reader of various Horror magazines and articles and research I also learned a lot about how the grisly FX were managed, fascinated by blood made of corn starch or practical makeup FX by early pioneers, the downside is understanding all the tricks and inside outs of Horror FX did take some of the magic away in that pretty much any horrific scene I would view in a move I would look at it more like "Oh yeah, hah, I see what they did there....." not exactly the most fun way to watch Horror movies and shows.... Before RESIDENT EVIL.... I recall playing a few games in the Horror genre (of course CAPCOM would introduce the new genre of survival Horror) obviously anything 8 or 16 bit though Horror "themed" with some suitable chiptunes and atmospheric locations was fun but nothing more, I never experienced the original Alone in the Dark. I did play some text-based and some point n click horror-themed games on the AMIGA computer like DARK SEED (1992) which definitely was a major bump up in the atmosphere, music and of course grisly Giger-esque visuals, I loved it but again nothing that would actually "scare me" so much as immerse me in a gothic and atmospheric entertaining game and that was fine by me, truth be told I was sure that was about the limit of what a video game could do, I didn't expect it to scare me but I still enjoyed the escape they provided. And then came Resident Evil for the PS1.... Much like you @Atari 5200 Guy I brought home a copy of Resident Evil for PS1 and I also prepared for full effect, now I only had my little 14-inch Commodore 1084s monitor though a small display it was sharp, vibrant and I sat directly in front of it with headphones plugged in, not surround maybe but that would not matter as I would learn, lights out also in preparation to make it as atmospheric as possible, I also recall going down that one hall, pretty sure I had already gone down it once so it was not an area I really expected anything and then like you, SMASH! Those decaying Dobermans came crashing through the window chasing me, to this day I recall a sudden hard thud of my heart seemingly the thumping increasing rapidly 😲I THINK I just ran but then was forced to fight, I may have even died because I was just caught off guard and not sure if at that point I had mastered the "Tank Controls". I DO clearly recall before continuing being absolutely stunned, literally amazed that a game, not a movie but a damn video game actually managed to make me jump and for a moment actually scared me and got my pulse going! How was this possible? This is where we differ though, where for you it was something you had no interest in returning to for a long time for me, well, not only would I continue, get better, be more cautious and now fascinated with what was around every corner but I enjoyed every single minute of it! Completed it a few times eventually and of course got the amazing sequel. "Survival Horror" was not cemented in my mind as my no.1 favourite video game genre. Emulation lets me revisit many of my favourite classics on any platform. While I do not play many full AAA games I play some demos as well many, many indie Horror games. Even a lot of free offerings on PC with amazing graphics provide some pretty amazing and atmospheric Horror games. Occasionally some of them even give me the creeps, I keep chasing that adrenaline rush I first experienced with those Resident Evil dogs yet it's funny, as realistic as graphics can be, as atmospheric and well designed, though it has come close, I have experienced a sense of "dread" yet I don't think any have ever impacted me as that original jump scare by those dogs in Resident Evil and I am not sure anything ever will, I would guess it's like any first experience, perhaps not being on guard at all and not thinking it was even possible to be scared by a game helped that first Resident Evil game achieve what nothing has since but it's been a lot of fun and continues to be fun trying. The second I was hooked on "Survival Horror"
