  1. I love the Lynx and probably shouldn't let it go but I'm far more of a Jaguar fan than anything and I need an earlier model K Jaguar that has an ADC chip in it. Just the base and power supply is all I need in working order. I can help you identify that it has it should we come to a trade. I'm willing to trade my boxed copy of Alpine Games for the Lynx with Duranik's initial cart backing design with the 3D printed backing as opposed to the injected molded backings they ultimately decided to go with for the release. Personally, I think this one is cooler than the actual release which is why I set out to get it from them. The picture was on their website but it looks like they've since updated it. Probably perfect if you're into collecting for the Lynx, I think this is the only one that has their 3D printed backing. If you're interested, please send me a message.
  2. That's incredible! I've seen compilations of sorts in the past but never this many and loose on the details because I don't own a CD32. It's always been one of those systems I wanted to get and in the early 2000s almost had a new one but always put it off. Now they've become so ridiculously expensive I'm unsure I'll ever own one.
  3. Stumbled upon a Trimersion 3001AD VR headset for $25 so that's on the way... just out of curiosity sake.

  4. Sorry, but everyone is getting coal for Christmas. Santa can't afford anything after he gets me a PS4 Pro, PSVR and 4K 55"... ;-)

  5. Less than a month away and I'll be thankful for PSVR! =D

  6. That image and thought makes my heart skip a beat. Thankfully we can almost do that now with the exception of connecting external controllers.
  7. My feelings as well. This is basically a Neo Geo X Gold with the Nintendo name and obvious controller difference, etc. It almost appears to be a step backward from the Wii but I don't really know enough about it I guess. The other serious problem now seems to be the amount of entertainment options in general. PC Gaming, PSVR, my occasional obsession with classic games and basic movies and such in general already exceed any amount of spare time I have as it is. I can appreciate that they're willing to try something different but it just seems like a smaller form factor of the WiiU anyways, no? There seems to be some actual excitement behind it. I'm more excited, if that's the word you want to use, about their mini NES console than the NX/Switch.
  8. Considering a lot of them aren't even tested yet reach full price does seem kind of insane, especially since very well most items being donated simply do not work. Seeing the Jaguar units exceed $200 blows my mind.
  9. Every once in a great while I will search for vintage whatever and it amazes me at times what people post up and their asking prices. I know an Apple IIc can fetch a sizable sum of money but $500? No way... http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/sys/5819252704.html Then you run across ones that actually seem like possibly a good deal: Atari 5200 with games but no controllers for $75... http://muncie.craigslist.org/vgm/5783209418.html What are some that you've spotted recently?
  10. I hope they make a really cool motorcycle racing game for it soon as well! =D
  11. The more things I read about this now that the PSVR is officially released today, the more I'm really wanting this. My buddy got his a little early several days ago but he's hours away so I can only see the pictures he's been posting. I'm in no rush to get it but I can tell it's something I want sooner than later with the plan still to wait for an available PS4 Pro model. I have read that a lot of people have motion sickness from Driveclub VR with little negative to say about other titles. I'm unsure about Minter's latest madness for the PSVR but will not overlook his efforts as he's always managed to pull of some really great things.
  12. What I would really love to see is Killing Impact (Falcon) make it on the Jaguar but I know the code is most probably utilizing all the 68030 it can. Still would be a lovely Joust platformer.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDRtiAcqd-U
  13. Yeah... while I applaud their efforts, it is very 16-bit'ish. *and now I know why, because it was originally for the Amiga/Atari ST. I don't even think this has updated graphics/sound - just basically an ST port of their own game? into Jaguar since the 68000 is there. Kind of Cyrano Jonesing it... **looks like it's originally by Realms? and published by Hewson Consultants in 1989. Which begs the question, do they now own it or were they originally Realms?
  14. Looks like a new Jaguar game is coming out this Winter by Piko Interactive called Custodian: https://www.pikointeractive.com/store.html#!/Custodian-Atari-Jaguar/p/72153794/category=20971056
  15. Not sure I ever remember hearing of Double Soda but we do have a Cracker Barrel that I haven't visited in about 12 years (good reason for this) that I may swing by and now check out. I enjoy the oddities and am interested in knowing how this tastes compared to the others.
  16. "If this is the future of PSVR - even with debatable running times - then sign me up. It's excellent." Still sounds promising to me. I never expected to spend endless hours in PSVR and I don't think anyone really wants to push someone to stay inside the headset for hours on end. I remember when we were reading about how the Jaguar VR would have a 30-minute auto-pause or break period built-in to the games so it would force the users to take a break. Seems like all those restrictions have all but left the table. 20 years ago everyone was worried about being sued and time constraints, maybe the expectation of reality now is that developers will just handle it by making the games more short-burst and arcade-like, which is kind of what VR had been built on for me growing up. If I do get one before the end of the year, it will be at least another month out.
  17. Nice interview. The screenshots definitely remind me that the display output resolution of a proper 1080 TV is far more giving than that of the PSVR headset. It's almost like two different games because I played the game within the PSVR without seeing the visuals on the TV but can tell you absolutely do end up missing out on a lot of the intricate details due to the headset. Not saying that's necessarily a bad thing because it was still very cool to play. I also did not realize the IP for Battlezone from Atari is no longer theirs. I wonder if they plan on doing the same with many other titles or how that came about.
  18. Really can't wait until they do this for the SNES as well and we can get the Japanese Famicon in mini form! =D
  19. As time is nearing for the release, I'm finding myself more and more anxious in hopes to being able to pick one of these up. So, the feeling or desire for this hasn't passed and it's been in the back of my mind for some time now. Not sure about a killer app for it and I'll certainly not be a Day 1 adopter but probably very soon or shortly thereafter I'll be picking up a new PS4 and PSVR - Just have to justify the entry cost, considering I don't currently have a PS4. Anyone else planning on getting one now or have completely changed their minds? Resident Evil 7 seems like it'll be so much fun and I really hope that Alien Isolation gets the VR treatment!
  20. I figured that this one would have been considered a given but still.... ;-) Not sure if this really counts but my old 1994 Subaru SVX interior with faux woodgrain:
  21. Plans in place for this upcoming weekend to visit Tappers Bar & Arcade with a bunch of friends. Really looking forward to seeing the selection of arcades they have!

    1. Rowsdower70

      Rowsdower70

I wonder if they'll have Tapper.

  22. Interesting to read. Hardware limitations due to bugs and underdeveloped development systems must be the absolute worst. Being promised a laundry list of features that work solo or independently only to find that all your work is a waste of time and you'll have to come up with some clever work-around does seem frustrating. Still seems like the 68000 was being used for far more than it was supposed to.
  23. Pigment wasn't exactly what I was hoping for with the blue but they're still cool. Now they just need a purpose...
